U.S. Minority Chamber of Commerce (U.S. MCC), Elects New Chairman for the Healthcare Committee, Mr. Joseph (Joey) Lawrence

Miami, Florida. — The United States Minority Chamber of Commerce (U.S. MCC) board of directors today named Mr. Joseph (Joey) Lawrence CEO/President of Eiikon LLC, as its chairman for the year 2021-2022.  EiikonLLC is a U.S. Minority corporate company aligned with multiple industry leaders members of the Chamber, strategic alliances internationally such as the US Embassy, and other partners to create a global affiliate program for the healthcare center.

“Mr. Lawrence is instrumental in bringing the best practices of United States Minority Leadership in the Chamber. His active participation since the year 2010, he was very active in the Procurement Task Force contracting and supply chain services to markets beyond the United States borders”, said Doug Mayorga, President & Founder of the U.S. MCC.Mr. Lawrence is one of the top U.S. delegates visiting Cali, Colombia in the Chamber’s premier trade mission on February 18-21, 2021, and is one of the largest providers of healthcare products and equipment in the world selling in more than 45 countries. His company is widely considered to be the product leader in its industry and has demonstrated strong annual growth under his leadership”.

About Mr. Joseph (Joey) Lawrence: He has served on the U.S. MCC’s board of directors since the year 2010 of the International Policy Committee. He has also worked closely with the Chamber’s Center for The Americas Development Through U.S. Entrepreneurship”, an affiliate that works to build democracy and market economies around the region. He has been successful in obtaining Saudi Arabian FDA approval for Type II Diabetes Injection (Eli Lily). He started Eiikon LLC with $50K and has increased revenue to $6M, with projections of $10.3M per year. Serving more than 350 hospitals and 1100 non-acute facilities.

During his one-year term as chairman, Mr. Lawrence will work closely with the presidency of the U.S. MCC to work very closely with healthcare U.S. products to Latin America and the Caribbean. He will be an integral part of educating our minority members on critical business issues related to the pandemic COVID 19.

The U.S. MCC ‘s Goals for the year 2021 -2022: Addressing the number of minority business and professionals without adequate health insurance; increase trade to Latin America and the Caribbean,  and assist companies to access funding, pursuing contract opportunities with the Federal Government, increasing security, address national minority workforce issues, and electing pro-business representatives to Congress. Recently the Chamber re-locate its new Headquarters from Washington, DC to Miami located at 1111 Brickell Floor 10, Miami, Florida 33131
