Washington DC, April 25, 2022. The United States Minority Chamber of Commerce officially launched the World Agriculture Innovation & Trade Summit Bogota 2022 alongside with members, partners and non-government partners to be held at the wonderful and elite, Grand Hyatt Bogota in Colombia. The event is not open to the public.
The mission of the Summit is a pioneering initiative uniquely focused on increasing innovation, commerce, investment and enabling greater public-private and cross-sectoral partnerships for the rural development of Latin America and the Caribbean, intended to reduce an extremely poverty in the area, and underpin transformative quality of live for farmers and low income disadvantage communities but very rich in the agriculture sector in all countries.
The U.S. MCC and partners are mobilizing this world summit of farmers, industrial, exporters and small-medium size producers to close the global investment gap in climate-smart agriculture and food systems innovation. Climate-smart agriculture is an approach that helps to guide actions needed to transform and reorient agricultural systems to tackle three main objectives: sustainably increasing agricultural productivity and incomes, while adapting and building resilience to climate change and more business opportunities without brokers or distributors.
The mail goal of the World Summit Bogota is to seeks incentives for, and mechanisms for maximizing the impact of, new investments toward an agriculture sector that is ready to face inflation and other disrupt. Development, demonstration, and deployment of practical, actionable, and innovative products, services, and knowledge to producers and other market participants, including through agricultural research extension systems.
