This music streaming platform is giving its users a recap of the songs they streamed most all through the year. This new update is tagged “My 2020 Rewind,” and the platform allowed users to start reviewing their 2020 rewind from December 1.
“My 2020 Rewind” is a personalized end of year roll up highlighting the artists and song TIDAL members listened to the most through a playlist and graphics that they can share on social media. The feature is unique to every user, as everyone will get their own page within the application. The individual, customized page will feature playlists recapping the songs they listened to for every month of the year and the entire year. It will also feature a recap of your most listened to albums and artists.
This new feature is available on the mobile application as well as the desktop version of the platform. To explore this feature, all you have to do is to click on “My 2020 Rewind” on the homepage. This feature allows you to listen to your favorite songs (most streamed songs) this year as you prepare for the new year. It also allows you to ponder on previous months as you bid farewell to 2020.
All users on the platform will also get a custom “My 2020 Rewind” social card that they can use to interact on social media platforms such as Snapchat, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Once you click the share button from the playlist of “My 2020 Rewind” the social card will be generated automatically. TIDAL encourages users to use the hashtag “#TIDAL2020Rewind” to share their social cards on social media.
Furthermore, the platform also launched the editorially selected “Best of 2020” playlist. The “Best of 2020” playlist was hand-selected by experts at TIDAL and it features a long list of the most notable songs this year. The list will be available for TIDAL members to enjoy and every week will welcome a new category of the playlist.
Starting from the first week of December, TIDAL will be releasing a new category to the homepage every week, with “Best of Audio Playlists” accompanied by “Best of Videos Playlists,” “Best of Label Playlists,” as well as “Artists to Watch 2021.” With TIDAL’s Premium and HiFi tiers, users have unlimited access to more than 70 million songs in all music genres, unending artist radio stations, and thousands of professionally selected playlists by the seasoned editorial team of the platform.
