I’m including ten more supplemental videos below in the hope that I can convince you and everyone like yourself to see this Kickstarter campaign as a new way to invest your money beyond stocks, bonds and real estate!
I’m an artist and author of 5 books that I would consider my memoirs. They are all part of my Memoirs of an Artist Series, which will continue to increase through the years.
In effect, if you get anything from me, I have been and will continue to work for you and the collectibility and tradeability of your art piece. I also plan to publish art books and comprehensive art catalogs so that you’ll be able to prove that what you have of mine is genuine. This is because I’m an experienced, already-skilled self-publisher.
I’m claiming to be the current, living, contemporary artist who has personally written the most memoirs, that have the perspective of a visual artist, in the world, as of this moment!
I’m hoping that you would consider this in deciding to invest in this Kickstarter campaign. Not everyone has a book about himself that can be studied and discussed by art students and experts 500-5000 years from now.
I had always told myself, and I now encourage others (#valzubiriagenda), that we artists should write about ourselves, and more so now, because it would not help anyone to wait 50 years for someone else to write about us, just so we can claim to be collectible and worthy of investing in!
When I let some galleries know that I had written one memoir, I gained their respect and acceptance. They let me know that none of their artists had written any memoir and I was already way ahead of the long-term art game.
When I announced I had written another memoir / musical about being a dollmaker (Dollman the Musical, A Memoir of an Artist as a Dollmaker), two friends approached me to dare critique my writing. I discussed this in my latest book Valzubiriagenda. There are certain things you should not allow to be done to you early on.
When I announced I had 4 memoirs available on Amazon, my schoolmates from decades past began to praise my accomplishment.
Now I have 5 memoirs, the latest being Valzubiriagenda (which I co-wrote with Silverio Perez, a fellow artist). I waited to finish Valzubiriagenda, because it is the “how-to of what I’m up to.” In it, I mention a lot of my own personal lessons and experiences in writing and self-publishing. I’m now encouraging the entire world to get into what I’m up to.
So the big question for you is: Is today a good time to get my art? I would say yes, because I’m also encouraging everyone to use the hashtag #valzubiriagenda, which has my name on it, in order to be found online. I’m encouraging everyone to look into writing memoirs, biographies, art books and art catalogs to enhance their collectibility.
I’m hope this trends, because even the mere fact that an artist promises to write a memoir in the near future could make a difference in sales and collectibility of that artist.
Self-publishing trended in 2006. I discussed this in my book, Valzubiriagenda.
Before 2006, I envisioned, in 1998, being represented by an exclusive gallery while my memoir was listed on the famous bestseller lists. I was already writing columns and designing newspapers and souvenir programs in the early ’90s.
Because getting representation and getting published was hard to come by for most people, it made sense to just envision this for myself and not for all the artists, investors, art collectors and resellers in the world.
When self-publishing finally trended in 2006, everyone finally has the chance to publish themselves. It made more sense to me to keep on writing more and more memoirs and other books because I can become and example for everyone else to follow.
I can encourage other artists to write and self-publish books! I can show myself as an example of an artist-memoirist.
I waited to finish Valzubiriagenda, because if this becomes the point where I get noticed, a lot of artists might want to follow my lead and ask me how it’s done – how could we get into publishing books that are about our lives and our works to enhance the collectibility and investibility of our art.
I have had experience in writing and publishing for decades. I can confidently tell everyone that we don’t need to become “famous,” in all niches, we just need to have name recognition in our own niche, which is the field of art. We don’t even need to show our faces.
We do not buy novels and thrillers because we know how authors look like. We also do not buy art because we know the artist by face. I have been to annual international publishing conventions like Book Expo America. Recognition and sales are due to many factors. Fame really does not always come into consideration.
My book Valzubiriagenda includes tips like these, to help everyone – artists, investors, art collectors and resellers, all over the world, dismiss illusions in the mind that discourage them from moving forward as artists, authors and publishers.
Artists all over the world seem to think that success will come when they get representation by exclusive galleries in the world class cities. You must understand that these galleries also struggle during times of economic downturn. Some of them are my friends and we talk shop.
Meanwhile, we have local to even international businesses and even individuals who are struggling. Selling our art can become a side business for everyone. We can even be represented by neighboring buinesses. We can do this by discouraging exclusivity and publishing art catalogs!
We should also enable art investors and art collectors to resell our works at the same non-exclusive locations and representatives. Our art cannot become great investments if reselling them is difficult to do.
You as investors and art collectors should be able to sell and resell art! Some exclusive galleries do not allow for you resell art through them. These galleries have many reasons for discouraging this practice. The 33-page Introduction of the book Valzubiriagenda explains why. You can read the whole introduction if you click the “Look Inside” link on the Valzubiriagenda Amazon (dot) com page.
The way to resell in as many outlets as possible, without exclusivity, is to use self-publishing! We can self-publish comprehensive art catalogs as needed! We just need to supply the stores and individual agents with our catalogs.
Just having catalogs would discourage theft of original art. Even when the original art reaches millions of dollars, the sellers and resellers still have the potential of earning so much without risks associated with theft.
We should also allow our collectors and investors to produce their own catalogs.
To better make this applicable to everyone, my book Valzubiriagenda encourages everyone to look into exponential pricing!
I’m proposing that we artists can also announce scarcity and a schedule of increasing prices.
My scarcity number is 6,500. I would like to only make 6,500 dioramas, which is my art form in this Kickstarter campaign.
I can subdivide this 6,500 into smaller quantities, and assign a schedule of increasing prices to them. This is how I explain the potential of reaching $51,200,000 if a snowball effect on the demand for my art happens.
If everyone reserves here and each one encourages 10 others to do the same thing, a snowball effect can happen.
The term “exponential mindset” or “exponential thinking” is now all over the internet. You can look up the many ways people, including experts, explain it.
I explain it as hitting 10, not just 2, birds with 1 stone. I also call it going 10, not just 2, steps forward, and going back 1 to 9 steps.
The simple announcement of scarcity (6,500) and an exponentially increasing schedule of present and future prices can be placed on a single page – a pdf file, for example, that everyone, all over the world, can print out.
You, as a speculator and investor will be literally and figuratively “on the same page” as everyone else. You’re not just saying the future will have higher prices. You will be focusing on distinct numbers, just like everyone else.
This is one reason you might want to join me and eveyrone else here. I coined the idea of scarcity and a scheduled price increase, and the idea of using self-publishing, as hashtag #valzubiriagenda.
I used my name, because people need a keyword to be found online. As such, even if you disregard this Kickstarter campaign, you just might encounter my name in the future. You just might regret not having invested in this Kickstarter when I was just offering my art for only $7,000 per piece. If you are planning to purchase a leather sofa, postpone it and get my art here.
I’m working towards reaching $51,200,000 per art piece. While I cannot guarantee that I will reach that, I can assure you that as more and more participate with me, more and more will be working for me to reach that goal.
Finally, please consider this Kickstarter campaign. You will regret not joining me now if one day you find yourself writing “valzubiriagenda” in a crossword puzzle.
The video below provides more detailed information and insights on the box set of The Tarot of the Porcelain Dolls tarot cards and instruction book.
In the beginning, I spent more than 6 months figuring out how to sculpt a doll’s face! Watch the video below! I can now do it in 4 minutes!
Trust me with my art (and my memoirs)! If you like my doll art, I will surprise you even more with the backdrops. I am working to become the Fabergé egg and Tiffany lamp of what I do.
As you know, I’m encouraging everyone to get books written and published. Articles cannot compare to books. I should know because I have experience writing for and publishing both newspapers and books. The video below will show you some of my accomplishments.
If you get art from artists who follow the #valzubiriagenda suggestions, you should also be able to publish your own art catalogs and art books when the right time comes. Imagine if you have a collection of 200 works from different artists, all in one art catalog which you can distribute in 1,000 locations.
The video below has very important tips on publishing.
December is crucial. A lot of us self-publishers and give away our books as Christmas gifts. I seriously don’t like that idea for myself. I would not stop you from doing it.
There are also other potential challenges in December that would be good for you to know, so the video below is important.
You might want to share the video above with someone you care about. There is a short tip on writing and editing. I write like I talk. I then finish writing an entire book before editing the work.
My sister, who is a professional editor, once told me that the way to edit your own work is by going through it 8 times. You will always see something to change, but 8 times should be enough.
A bank president once told me he has a daughter who has a fine arts degree but is now working at a local coffee shop. He wanted her to push her arts degree more agressively. He said he had connections. I advised him not to pressure his own daughter into anything that might become an issue between them in the future.
It took me decades to get the confidence and skills that I have now. I also was the one who kept pushing myself, so I also managed my own pressure. My parents never pushed me to where and what I am now.
The video above will give you additional insights about me. I hope you will also share this video with people who will be able to use it for their own activism.
The only challenge will be time. Every reservation this Kickstarter will generate will be enough to finish and deliver each art piece.
