‘Creative Quarantine NYC’ – Docuseries Project
This is the story of 4 NYC based artists surviving, thriving and starting a creative movement during the Coronavirus Pandemic of 2020.
We are creating a DOCU-WEB SERIES titled “CREATIVE QUARANTINE NYC” that follows our lives and creative endeavors during the Coronavirus crisis. In the series we will be issuing a Creative Quarantine 14 Day Challenge (#creativequarantinechallenge) to get other artists and creatives involved in making art in quarantine and documenting their processes. We will be featuring the work of other quarantined artists around the globe in each episode.
We plan to release the first episode of the series on April 10th and if we get the Kickstarter funding, we will create, edit, format and release another 6, 20 minute episodes thereafter.
How you can help:
We need your financial support to make this dream a reality. We are starting this project from scratch and learning how to film and edit as we go (which we believe will add some authentic spunk to the story)!
This is a labor of love, we are putting in countless hours of work towards the execution of this project and for now we are filming and editing on our phones and half-broken computers.
Although we are happy to donate our time and creative energy, there are just a few basic things that we need to get this project off of the ground in the right way.
Production Costs:
Camera, tripod, lens: $1600
Art supplies: $1400
Production Labor: $1500
Post Production Editing Costs: $3,500+
We have decided to use our art, our skills and our sense of humor to fundraise for this project so be sure to check out our eclectic set of prizes!
We would be honored to have the opportunity to share our lives and art with you.
Please help us help YOU stay entertained, inspired and creatively connected by donating to our project!

We are imaginative, committed, freelance artists living together in ‘Kookoohaus Collective’. Each of us has lost our income due to the pandemic so we are creating NEW jobs for ourselves to do what we do best.
Watch as we band together, collaborate, get silly, light things on fire, and the document our creative processes and how we use them to ease our spirits amongst the current crisis. We will be reporting from the inside of our funky, colorful home, which is also our gallery, studio, workshop, stage and shrine.
We thank you all for your support and are excited to make this project a reality!
The risks and challenges are high at this time as each of us are dealing with the emotional impact of the Coronavirus. The real risk is that one of us could get the coronavirus and one of our team members – Chris Flambeaux, has lung issues from decades as a fire breather. Another challenge we are facing is learning curve of filming, editing, organizing footage and project managing. Not to mention we are learning how to work together on a project of this size. There are lots of unknowns but we believe that will only add to the entertainment value!
