New York, NY Feb 25, 2020 — InsurTech NY and the UK’s Department for International Trade are jointly hosting an invitation-only event on March 18th. Executives will be invited from insurance carriers, brokers, and InsurTech startups with operations or expansion plans for the UK insurance market.
Hosted at the British Residence, the event will feature speakers from Lloyds of London, Beazley Insurance, AIG, Boost Insurance, and UK Treasury. Topics covered will include a survey of the US and UK insurance markets and war stories from the industry with a discussion moderated by Insurance Insider.
“The US-UK insurance market bond is essential as Brexit adds new complexity to the UK-EU relationships,” said David Gritz, co-founder of InsurTech NY. “Our team wants to make it easier for InsurTechs and regional carriers to develop partnerships and do business in the London insurance market.”
Ross Allen, Deputy Trade Commissioner for the USA, stated, “Part of the UK Department for International Trade’s role in NYC is to support US InsurTechs who want to access the UK market and expand their business overseas. As the world’s largest specialty insurance hub, the UK is often the destination of choice for US InsurTechs’ first international expansion.”
