I’ve known Tim Jackson since we were both 14, just starting out in the Lancashire Students’ Symphony Orchestra. Since then we’ve been the closest of friends, and I think he is a wonderful composer, and very underrated. It is a complete thrill for me and St Paul’s Sinfonia to be recording a CD of Tim’s music, which will be released on Toccata Classics later this year.
We’re recording in mid-February, in the lovely church of St John the Evangelist in Norwood, and we’re overjoyed that Tim will be present at the sessions to oversee the project. The costs of recording a CD of orchestral music are considerable, and we’d be so grateful to anyone who would like to assist in the costs. Any contribution, big or small, would help! There are some great rewards available – from an advance copy of the CD, to tickets to an exclusive CD launch concert with some of Tim’s music performed by members of St Paul’s Sinfonia. We really hope you might consider contributing – many thanks in advance!

We’re setting an ambitious budget – though we do have funds of our own that will match whatever we raise through Kickstarter. Everything else is ready to go at the moment – though we have to be ready to cope with unexpected changes nearer the time!
