I’m Stephanie Todd and I’m co-host of a year-old podcast (with my friend and co-host Charlie Hwang) We’ve had great feedback so far and would like to keep our parenting podcast “Kid Don’t Kill My Vibe” growing in 2020, and in order to do this, we need the support of our listeners.
We began conceptualizing the “Kid Don’t Kill My Vibe” podcast in 2018. We took the big step into broadcasting the show over the past year which has required us to record, edit, promote and pay for the show ourselves.
As you might imagine, there have many hurdles in trying to obtain advertisers and sponsors without more up-to-date marketing and promotion. We decided the best option without ads would be to crowdfund on Kickstarter.
We are extremely excited and positive about the idea of using this money raised by Kickstarter to fund a proper recording space, better equipment, state-of-the-art editing and production, as well as help us secure a more geographically diverse mixture of guests to interview on a more frequent basis. Over the next year or so, we want to do even more to make this podcast a success. With the funds we raise we will need to increase our budget to pay for travel and accommodation to interview guests land add further equipment and production assistance.
In a nutshell, we’re ready to take this podcast to the next level and we need your help to do so!
We have a number of categories for you to consider crowdfunding us in, but you can also contribute at a level of your choosing without reward, if you prefer. We are grateful to everyone who supports us.
Thank you for any support!
About the Show
Kid Don’t Kill My Vibe is a weekly interview-style podcast designed for individuals who hope to find inspiration in their own lives from guests who have re-invented themselves after becoming parents by focusing, not on lost flexibilities and freedoms, but on the new options and opportunities available after having kids.
On the show, Stephanie Todd and Charlie Hwang take a deep dive into the muddy waters of life after becoming a new parent. All too often, parents fear becoming lifeless “mombies” and “walking dads” following the birth of a child. Stephanie and Charlie interviews guests such as Angela Sutherland and Evelyn Rusli (Yumi Baby Food), Aerin Nicole (Kickee Pants), Stephanie Middleberg (Middleberg Nutrition), Natalie Willes (Baby Sleep Trainer) and many more! Our guests have found ways to leverage their new parenthood life along unpredictable paths through entrepreneurial and creative channels that complement their new status and new vibe.
While a typical day for new parents can mean formula, lullabies and an abundance of caffeine – this diverse mix of guests hopes to inspire listeners with formulas for growth and lyrics for their own song of success and personal fulfillment.
We have maintained a high production quality throughout, and the feedback we have had has been very positive. With that in mind, unless we endure health issues or similar beyond our control, we are confident that we can deliver if we reach our target. If we don’t reach our target, we receive nothing.
