Hello,
My name is Joey, a 29 year old entrepreneur in training from Chicago IL. My motivation stems from my family, my amazing wife, my beautiful daughter and the wonderful people around me. The past couple months I have been working on a project that has been on my mind for a few years now and I’m beyond excited to take the next step into making this dream a reality. This will be an opportunity of a lifetime and will also change my family and my life forever. I am reaching out to Kickstarter because I have heard great things about it and am hoping it will be able to help with the funding on launching my dreams! I am currently struggling with start up cost due to real life responsibilities, I am a father, I work 6 days a week, I provide for my family but have very little extra to be able to start something like this. It would mean the world to me to be able to get some help to get this all started.
Orginally, I was looking at a cost of $3500.00 – $4000.00 just in ARTWORK alone. I would have needed 45 different CUSTOM designs ranging about $75-$100 per design. Instead of spending this amount of money just to create the game I decided to take a different approach. Choosing this option is more affordable YET the more challenging one. I decided to take matters into my own hands and used the remaining part of my paycheck to buy an Ipad and Stylus. Within a month of hard work and minimum sleep, I was able to create my 45 designs which included along my Logo and packaging designs which is saving me about 50% of my start up.
I am hoping to achieve this goal to be able to purchase 500 units from an over seas manufacturer which I’ve already been in contact with. This will also help me invest into marketing such as media ads, touring, be able to host a launch party etc… I have worked hard on my business plan and feel this game will be extremely successful and people all over will be able to enjoy it with others. The plan includes ways to market, sell, and promote my product so I am very confident that there will be no issues in getting the sales rolling. Any help is greatly appreciated with all my heart.
I feel like the only risk right now I can come across is not selling the 500 units and just sitting on product. If worse came to worse my back up plan would be to give out about half the units throughout the country as a promo plan and hope it would bring in more attention and sales.
