My name is Amina and I live in Tucson, Az. I’ve been an LPN for 7 years and I recently graduated and attained my RN. I was born in Tucson, and I love it very much. As a native, I drive my streets each day and I see so many veterans and civilians that need help. Living in the desert, it gets hot during the day and I’d like to provide the people of my city with a mobile hygiene program. We don’t have one here and it’s my dream to help my community and bring much-needed services including but not limited to hygiene to these people. Shower opportunities are limited and I’d like to provide access to any and all that are in need. . Any donations are appreciated. It started with a simple hygiene bag, handing them out to people we passed as we went along. It started a fire in me that grew to epic proportions.
Thank you for any and everything, and please share as much as you can! Love and light to all.
My plan
So far we have incorporated as a non-profit in the state of arizona and we have our EIN number. Buses around here cost about 5200$-8900$. So aside from the bus costs the rest of the funds go to retrofit the bus with appropriate private shower stations and we will move forward with creating this dream for the people of this Arizona town. You can donate here and through Gofundme as well. My dream is to purchase a bus and retrofit it to the needs of my community and then help it grow until we can create the pop-up medical/hospitality care villages this wonderful town deserves (i.e. showers, shaving, haircuts, medical care, social services, clothing exchange) and so much more. It’s incredibly hot here during the summer and I’d like to help as much as I can as quickly as I can. I will be starting a 501(c)(3) and hopefully begin my dream as quickly as I can.
Rewards
Once we gain 501c3 status your donations will be tax deductible. We are a non-profit and have many opportunities for volunteering and we dont just have ways to help do some good for the people here, but possibly in your own hometown too. This can be recreated anywhere.
The risks are that we cannot find the funds to buy our bus, and challenges we shall face are finding ways to regulate our water usage in conjunction the city limitations for water usage.
