I am a father of 3 little boys ages 5, 7, and 10 and they love my lapel pin collection. They came up to me one night and said they wanted to make there own lapel pins, so naturally I was excited for them and the initiative they were taking. I want them to earn it though and not just have Mommy and Daddy buy it for them, and to teach them a little bit about money and business along the way. So I asked them what they would like to make a pin of and my oldest said mine craft, My little guy said “Rainbow Dash” which I think is a my little pony, and my middle guy said Aaron Judge of the Yankees. So like all brothers they couldn’t agree. I told them to think about it for a few days and to come up with an idea that they all agreed upon. Well, a few days later they walked into my office with four drawings all colored of sponge bob characters and I agreed to open up this kick starter for them to see if other people would like what they have created. Below are there original drawings, I had a graphic artist friend of mine clean them up so they looked more professional and so they can be manufactured. The boys and I hope you love them.
Should this project get funded the boys will include a thank you note with every shipment, probably not a long one but they will be thanking you. Also they get a portion of the proceed to spend on something special they each want, and anything after that goes into there savings account for the future. They are really excited about this, and I am truly rooting for them to succeed. All pins will be double posted, 1.5″ Soft enamel.
To help show 3 little boys if you work hard at something you can accomplish it. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and we hope you love them as much as my kids do.
If the project doesn’t hit it’s goal the pins will not be made. I have worked with many manufacturers and have experience in the lapel pin industry so getting them made and made right will not be an issue. The main risk is mine, as if it doesn’t get funded I will have to tell them there pins won’t be made but it’s a great life lesson for them as things don’t always work out as planned.
