Luminous is a 28-page comic book that introduces the ancient world of Lumen.
The story itself follows Elazar along his mission to save the world, while experiencing his own personal sexual awakening. As he is forced to step out of his comfort zone and face his greatest fears in Lumen’s cutthroat Capital City, everything he ever believed about love and relationships is called into question.
We’re diving into some mature themes set in an ancient and exotic world full of sex, magic, and conspiracy.
Here’s a brief history of the continent of Lumen as written by an accomplished Historical Record Keeper, in a final letter to his apprentice, Elazar….
The story follows Elazar, a young, naive apprentice to a historian, but not the kind of book jockey that we may think of today. These historians traverse challenging terrain and elements to investigate and piece together the story of their ancient past. They put their lives on the line to collect, catalogue and disperse knowledge.
While organizing the records in a vast library in the Capital City, Elazar’s mentor, Palto stumbles upon a secret kept by the Nayra Mages….
Our story begins here, as he searches frantically for Elazar in the middle of the night…
Production of the book is already in progress and it is scheduled to be finished shortly after the campaign closes.

THE PREMIUM REWARD TIERS
Every cover is available “A La Carte” in the pledges. Please, do not hesitate to message us for a “customized” cover combination that you want. Almost anything can be easily accommodated with “Add-Ons”.
If you see something you like in the campaign but it doesn’t come with your Reward, just send us a message via Kickstarter and we’ll assist you with your add-on during the campaign by adjusting your pledge level.
To add on one or more of these Add-On items you can simply increase your pledge to include the new amount listed for the Add-On.
After you’ve pledged for a reward, just click “manage my pledge” and add the amount for any of the following items to your pledge (It must be a $15 or higher pledge). You will also need to include the shipping amount, but we will be able to help you with that.
IMPORTANT TO NOTE: Just be sure to follow up with a message, so that we can make sure your add-on is included in your shipment. You can send a message by clicking Myth Division’s name at the top of the campaign page and clicking “Contact Me.” You can only add on physical items to physical pledges. (This is due to shipping costs) Anyone can add on digital items. Also please be sure to include the add-on items you selected after the Kickstarter ends, in the survey that will be sent out to gather your shipping info.
We’ve now been able to produce six books thanks to Kickstarter. We definitely understand what it takes to finish a book and deliver the rewards, so while we are working on multiple books at once similarly to a comic book imprint, we have a structured workflow to keep track of all questions and comments, while keeping production moving.
Sometimes artists have “act of God” emergencies like flooding or a death in the family, or sometimes an opportunity from one of the BIG 2 publishers (Marvel & DC) comes up and the production schedule adjusts. That being said, I created Myth Division as a way to deliver the kinds of stories and quality comic books that I would buy as a collector, so we like to keep the same creative team for arcs, when possible.
The bottom line is the teams and I are committed to putting out GORGEOUS BOOKS with complete storytelling that keeps you engaged and holds visual continuity for at least 4-5 issues at a time.
Someday we may pitch to bigger publishers, help self-publish other people’s stories, or shop our books to agents and managers, but for now, we are focused on finishing the first three stories that you and everyone else on Kickstarter has helped us to create.
