EN – The NGA SAKIDILA project was born 4 years ago. I started to compose, then to record some pieces as soon as 2015. But the more time passed, the more difficult it was for me to produce NGA SAKIDILA. It can be said that I experienced a moment of discouragement. But I was aware that a change had to go through me, through my choices. And that’s what I did. In 2017, I made new choices, I surrounded myself with new people. I wanted to go beyond the borders of Angola and share my music with the greatest number. And I’m almost there!
NGA SAKIDILA means THANK YOU in Kimbundu. We could say that the particularity of this album is its universality. The themes I address are universal love, self-love in all humility, and I also invite each of the listeners to question themselves about the real questions of happiness, and to be critical about our materialistic society. I also discuss the condition of women with Respeita Essa Mulher, a strong message in a country with lots of machism.

EN- What Am I going to do with your contributions ? Well, I will make it the best of it ever! The project is 70% financed. I’m not far from my goal and this is why I need you to launch NGA SAKIDILA out of Angola. I’m going to communicate A LOT so people can hear about my music and listen to the album. An album without communication will not be heard. Producing an album is very expensive and NGA SAKIDILA is only produced on private funds (my manager, myself, and some friends helping). Even if a good part of the adventure is financed, I need you to be able to reach my goal. Here is an idea of the distribution of the budget when producing an album:
(Un grand merci aux étudiants de SMW qui ont réalisé les pictogrammes !- Thanks a lot to the SMW students who did the pictos)
Kevin Jubert, Fender Rhodes – QUEM SOU EU
And if the goal is reached and goes over, I will make another video to gain more visibility – we all know how important it is to have good videos.
What about the rewards? Choose whatever you like! There are rewards for all budgets, and even the smallest amount to reach the goal. Of course all the CDs will be signed, and you also have the exclusive NGA SAKIDILA T-Shirt!
Send CD (s): before Christmas / T-Shirt: we will do our best to have them in December, if not, January (thank you for your understanding). For Etienne who prefers to collect their contribution, we will refund the shipping costs!

Singer, songwriter, guitarist and record producer, Toto ST began his career at 14 by collaborating with renowned Angolan musicians such as Kalibradros, Genesis and Yanik AfroMan, among others. Thus, at 39, he already has more than 20 years of career.
Serpião TOMÁS was born in Luanda, Angola, in 1980. Music is a strong genetic heritage in the culture of the Angolan people and becomes the natural environment of every child. But Serpião, now known as Toto ST, was an even more special child: he wrote his first lyrics at age 8 and began to sing melodies rooted in North American, Angolan, Brazilian and African cultures. He heard his mother sing the Gospel and did as she did. From an early age, he knew that music would be his life.
