⭐️Hi! Im Lizzie Thomas, a Jazz Vocalist performing in NYC for the past decade. I just recorded New Sounds From The Jazz Age, launched a new website with a new look, landed new gigs and a publicist to ensure this album is HEARD!????
The Cats I’m working with to recreate this New Sound have played with giants like Les Paul, Mel Torme, Frank Sinatra, Freddie Cole, Diana Krall, Peggy Lee, Duke Ellington, Judy Garland, Monty Alexander, I know pretty amazing!- I’m overjoyed with these cats.
I’ve developed a creative collaboration with pianist & arranger John Colianni. I chose the songs and he created the arrangements that captured the style of music I wanted. The other cats on the album are Russell Malone on guitar, Jay Leonhart on bass, Bernard Linette on drums, Omar Daniels on tenor sax & flute, Boots Maleson on bass, Matt Chertkoff on guitar, Doug Hinrichs on percussion, and a Norwegian clarinetist named Felix Peikli.
We recorded at Peter Karl Studios in Brooklyn, with Peter Karl as head engineer.
As an independent artist I get to make all the decisions and also get to pay all the bills. WITH YOUR HELP I will continue to make & share my music. ????
I can’t wait to share it with you! ⭐️
I’m looking for Angel investors, to support the New Sounds From The Jazz Age. It cost 35K to put this all together and the bills seem to never end.

If your still reading, I’m adding this section purely for geeking out on some serious musical details…….
In the recording studio we recreated a “vintage” recording technique, to set up all instruments including the vocalist in the same room with no headphones, no separation and no booths. This approach was used during the 1930’s-thru early 1960’s in order to achieve a swingin’ live room sound. Recording this way enables you feel each other’s energy and have authentic musical conversations with one another. That’s the Magic! The main challenge with this setup, is that you can’t go back after recording and re-record vocals or an instrumental solo aka “overdubs.” You have to be surrounded by the Best musicians- players with incredible intonation, timing, and freedom of expression on their instrument. We achieved just that Sound.
The Goal is launching NSFTJA with a radio/press Release in Jan 2020. I will promote the album with live performances throughout the US! Supporting this project will help me fund the whole process so I can share my NEW SOUND with you! Thank you so much in advance for your love and support!
