Punchline is an ongoing comic book and trade paperback series published by Antarctic Press. The first issue was offered on Free Comic Book Day in 2019. Our series is available at many comic book shops through Diamond Comics Distribution. AP is publishing a version of this trade and if your store carries our book, shop with them. For the people not near a comic book store, this might be your best opportunity to read our comic.
The first Punchline collection told the story of Mel, a costumed hero who had been fired from the job and then forced to train her replacement, Jessie. Some people missed the first crowdfunded collection, so we are re-offering a limited number of physical copies of Blood Sisters which collects Punchline #1- #5.
In Super-Frenemies, Jessie meets other people that live a super-double life much like hers. She learns the source of her new powers as she makes new friends and enemies. Super-Frenemies collects Punchline #6- #10
The campaign for Punchline: Super-Frenemies will raise the funds to pay the printing bill for the second collection and to get ahead of the expenses on the next batch of issues.
We are shipping signed hard covers and signed trade paperback editions of the second collection, Super-Frenemies. This edition will have a cover gallery and sketch book material not included in the Antarctic Press version of the collection for a final page count over 130 pages.
If you don’t have the cash to buy a book, there are ways you can help us fund our project. Sharing via social media is free and always appreciated.
It won’t hurt our feelings a bit if you go check out the comics on a free digital distribution site like our partner Graphite. Punchline comic singles are also available on comiXology and Drive Thru Comics.
Of the 112 pages scripted, only 17 remain to be penciled and inked.
Our last book shipped a little late, but we learned from the experience and have a better schedule this time around.
