Did you ever think you’d need protection from that nifty reusable straw of yours? That seemingly clever metal one can leave you with chipped teeth, or even worse… And a glass straw can lead to a party of glass shards in your mouth. No, thank you. What about paper straws? Well they can ruin a perfectly good drink before you’ve even had your first sip.
Metal, glass, plastic, and paper straws suck—and not in the good way. Lucky for you, we designed a better one.
Get It Right reusable silicone straws are designed with your safety in mind. Made from platinum grade silicone, our straws are soft and bendy enough to keep you safe—but tough enough to handle the thickest milkshakes and all those yummy frappes people can’t seem to get enough of.
GIR Ultimate Straws are hands-down the best in beverage consumption—but that’s not where the story ends. Say you’ve already bought an inferior reusable straw and you’re out and about town. Then what? Once you’re done sipping, are you going to throw your dirty reusable straw in your handbag? We wouldn’t recommend it.
In case you didn’t know, your purse is a very dangerous place. Your $20 bill changes hands 2,328 times in its lifetime. Your credit cards are probably carrying some kind of virus. And forget about that cell phone which contains roughly 25,000 germs—most of them born in the loo.
Lucky for you, most GIR straws come with a dishwasher-safe carrying case that keeps your straws safe from the dangers of your purse, pocket, backpack, or anywhere else you go—and all of our sizes come with a reusable bag that you can use for safe and easy storage.
Our Smoothie & Boba straws and the Kids and Cocktail party packs don’t come with a travel case—so we’ve created gorgeous packaging that’s reusable and designed to keep them safe and clean, whether they’re in a drawer or your backpack.
Everyone knows that single-use straws are going the way of the dodo. Get It Right straws keep our planet, and your mouth, safe. Do the “Get It Right thing” and pick up a GIR Ultimate Straw set. It’ll be the last set you’ll ever need.
This project is promoted by Jellop, the ad tech power behind the best Kickstarters with 850+ successful Kickstarter projects with over $380MM raised between them.
With eight successful Kickstarter campaigns under our belts, we’re excited and confident to tackle our 9th (!).
Here’s what we’ve already overcome:
Design – these products are fully designed and ready to go
Tooling – we got a head-start on tooling to make sure we can deliver on time
Here are our biggest remaining risks:
Holiday shipping delays – This would be a worst-case scenario. We’ll do whatever it takes to deliver on time as promised. Worldwide shipping during the busy holiday season can be additionally troublesome, but we’ve delivered tens of thousands of packages around this time of year and we’re ready to do it again.
Over-funded campaign – As backers ourselves, we’ve seen the best-case scenario for creators (a hugely popular campaign) turn into a worst-case scenario for backers (bad communication and massive production issues). If we’re heavily over-funded, we’ll make sure that communication with backers stays current and transparent so that no one feels lost in the crowd, and we’re prepared to scale up manufacturing to meet the challenge. If we play our cards right, we’ll be in a best-case scenario for everyone: lots and lots of happy backers.
The Kickstarter community means the world to us, and we are very proud of our track record of honest, on-time campaigns. Let’s do this thing!

GIR’s products are built to last a lifetime—that’s why we’ve always backed them with a lifetime guarantee. Our high-quality construction will stand up to heavy use, and our pharmaceutical-grade, platinum-cured silicone is the very best on the market.
We care about sustainability so much, we even made our packaging reusable. Keep the bag your straws come with, and use it creatively: protect your straws (ok—maybe that’s not creative), keep your smartphone dry at the beach, pack a snack, or organize your cords and dongles.
GIR’s packaging is always made from recycled materials. If you’re ready to retire your straws (or any other GIR products), the silicone can be repurposed at a qualified facility.
Our factory relationships span nearly a decade of friendship and partnership. They’re committed to environmentally and socially conscious business practices, working with us to reduce waste at every level of the supply chain. And of course, they’re ISO-9001 certified to meet our quality standards and the strictest regulatory requirements.
In 2018, we brought our shipping and distribution in-house, opening a warehouse that would allow us to maintain tight oversight on operational efficiency. We’ve seen substantial improvements in deliverability and are able to consolidate more shipments to overseas backers to reduce our carbon footprint.
