Peter Y. Chung joined Summit Partners in 1994. Prior to Summit, he worked in the Mergers & Acquisitions department of Goldman, Sachs & Co.
Based in Summits Menlo Park office, Peter is active in the firms investment activities in North America, Europe and Asia.
During his 19 years with Summit Partners, Peter has invested in more than 25 companies including 13 currently or formerly publicly-traded companies.
Regis McKenna is the Board Director of Nanosys Inc. He has served as a Member of the Board of Directors since April 2002.
He is currently Chairman of Regis McKenna, Inc., a private firm, which he founded, specializing in the development of marketing information and network-based business strategies.
He also serves as a General Partner of his venture firm, McKenna Ventures, L.P., an investment partnership specialized in investments in early stage companies.
Mr. McKenna has worked as a Marketing Consultant to technology companies since 1970.
He holds a B.A. in Liberal Arts from Duquesne University.
Frank Caufield has been active in the venture capital field since the early 1970s. He is a Co-Founder of Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers. Mr. Caufield has served on the boards of Quantum Corporation, Caremark Inc., AOL Inc., Megabios, Verifone Inc., Wyse Technology, Quickturn Corporation and Time Warner as well as many other private and public companies. He also serves as a director of The U.S. Russia Investment Fund, Refugees International, is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and serves as Chairman of the Child Abuse Prevention Society of San Francisco.
Prior to the formation of KPCB, Mr. Caufield was a General Partner and Manager of Oak Grove Ventures, a venture capital partnership located in Menlo Park, California. He is a past president of both the Western Association of Venture Capitalists and the National Venture Capital Association.
Mr. Caufield is a graduate of the United States Military Academy and holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
