eNeura Therapeutics, a privately held medical technology company, is pioneering the use of portable, non-invasive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) devices for treatment of migraine. Prescribed by physicians but designed for patient use, it is the first truly portable, convenient TMS product that will allow migraine patients to administer treatment as neededat home, in the office or on the go.
Robert E. Fischell received his BSME degree from Duke University and MS and ScD degrees from the University of Maryland.
Dr. Fischell was employed at the Johns Hopkins University, Applied Physics Laboratory full-time for 25 years and part-time for an additional 13 years. At Johns Hopkins Dr. Fischell was the Chief Engineer of the Space Department where he worked on more than 50 spacecraft. His interests at Johns Hopkins then turned to the invention of new medical devices such as pacemakers and implantable heart defibrillators.
Starting in 1969, Dr. Fischell began the formation of 14 private companies that licensed his patents on medical devices. These companies included Pacesetter Systems, Inc. (now called St. Jude Medical, the second largest manufacturer of heart pacemakers), IsoStent, Inc. (new stent concepts now licensed to the Johnson & Johnson Company), NeuroPace, Inc.
Dr. Rosen is a healthcare executive with over 20 years experience in biotech, pharmaceuticals and medical devices.
Prior to joining eNeura Therapeutics, he was President and COO of Aratana Therapeutics, a pharmaceutical company he founded while Entrepreneur in Residence at MPM Capital.
Prior to joining MPM Capital, he was the head of corporate out licensing for Pfizer Inc. in New York, responsible for spin outs and divestitures of research and development programs and commercial products. Between 2007 and 2010, he and his teams successfully created several pharma spinouts including the formation of a venture capital backed, 80 person life sciences company in Nagoya, Japan and an anti-infectives company in New York. As the head of out licensing, he led Pfizer’s efforts to divest of more than two dozen pharmaceutical development programs to both strategic buyers and financial investors.
Dr. Rosen also serves on the board of directors of Ablative Solutions Inc.
Mr. Hoster is an experienced Finance professional with over 25 years of experience in technology and medical device start-ups.
Prior to joining eNeura Therapeutics, he was CFO of EndoGastric Solutions, a pioneer in endoluminal surgery for reflux disease.
Mr. Hoster also served as CFO with numerous technology start-ups, including @Road, which he took public in late 2000.
Previously, Mr. Hoster was with Chemical Bank in New York and Mid America Federal in Columbus, Ohio.
Mr. Hoster is also President of the Summit Prep Foundation and serves on the Board of Summit Prep Charter High School.
He also serves on the National Annual Giving Committee at Princeton University.
Mr. Hoster has a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Princeton University and an MBA from Stanford University.
Ms. Baker is an accomplished entrepreneur with over 25 years of marketing, business development and operations experience in medical device and diagnostics.
Prior to joining eNeura Therapeutics, she was responsible for strategic marketing efforts at Calcitek, River Medical and Natus Medical. During her tenure as Vice President of Marketing at Natus Medical, she led the company’s commercialization efforts from early stage through the IPO.
She began her career with American Hospital Supply where she held diverse leadership positions in strategic marketing / sales, business development, operations and finance.
Ms. Baker also serves on the Boards of Symposia Medicus, a non-profit organization providing Continuing Medical Education programs for practicing clinicians, and Abolition International, a non-profit fighting to bring freedon to survivors of human trafficking.
Ms.
David Fischell is a serial entrepreneur who has founded nine biomedical device companies in the last fifteen years, including Angel Medical Systems.
He is also a Director of eight biomedical technology companies (including five of those he founded) and was the primary designer of the BX Velocity and Cypher coronary stents for Cordis, a Johnson & Johnson Company.
David is chairman of the Cornell University Biomedical Engineering Advisory Board, and a Fellow of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering.
Other companies founded by David include Neuralieve, Inc (2002) a developer of transcranial magnetic stimulation systems for migraine headaches; and NeuroPace, Inc. (1997) a developer of implantable brain pacemakers to treat epilepsy.
After earning his Ph.D. in Applied Physics from Cornell University,
David joined Bell Laboratories in 1979 where, for 11 years, he performed and directed a wide range of research and development projects.
