Terrell Terry Edwards is the founding CEO and visionary behind PerfectServe’s industry-leading clinical communication and information delivery platform.
Starting in 1997, Edwards invented and developed PerfectServes original applications. Since that time, he has successfully guided the companys national expansion into more than 150 U.S. markets and attracted more than $30 million in venture capital to fuel PerfectServes growth.
A hands-on executive, Edwards has over 15 years of expertise in the design and deployment of technology-enabled solutions in clinical environments.
Prior to PerfectServe, Edwards was introduced to the world of computer-telephony technology at Voice-Tel, Inc., a market pioneer in the interactive voice messaging industry.
With over 14 years of public accounting and corporate financial experience, David Pectol is PerfectServes chief financial officer.
Prior to joining PerfectServe, Pectol was with publicly traded National Coal Corporation from 2008 to 2011, where he was the corporate controller and responsible for all SEC reporting and Sarbanes-Oxley management.
Prior to joining National Coal Corporation, Pectol held positions as corporate controller for Knoxville-based IdleAire Technologies during the company’s period of rapid growth and national expansion; and director of accounting and director of internal audit for publicly traded SBA Communications in Boca Raton, Fla. His public accounting experience includes serving as audit manager with the national firm Crowe Horwath, LLP.
Pectol holds a masters degree in accountancy from East Tennessee State University and a bachelors degree in business administration with a concentration in economics from Erskine College.
Larry Visk brings over 30 years experience in healthcare information technology.
Prior to joining PerfectServe, he was with QuadraMed Corporation where he served as national vice president, client relations. While at QuadraMed, he developed and led a team of 14 account executives and three sales vice presidents, and grew team sales booking more than four fold from 2005 to 2008.
Before that, Visk was the national sales director, revenue cycle and HIM solutions at Cerner.
Earlier in his career, Visk served in a number of roles including regional vice president at Shared Medical Systems, now part of Siemens Medical Solutions, and was director, consulting services with Sheldon I. Dorenfest & Associates.
Visk earned a bachelors degree from the University of Illinois in industrial and organizational behavior and holds a masters of business administration from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management, where he was designated as a Hotchkiss Scholar for his graduating class.
Jeff Brown is skilled in complex software implementations and change management, client service and support operations, project management, and account development. A member of the executive management team since 2006, Brown created PerfectServes implementation methodology a proven process that enables hospitals to quickly standardize their clinical communication and information delivery processes on the PerfectServe platform.
Brown leads a team of professionals skilled at applying and supporting advanced technologies in ways that deliver the best possible outcome for the companys clients and end users.
Prior to PerfectServe, he served at WebEx Communications where he led the global deployment of WebEx services at a big three automotive manufacturer and the implementation and retention efforts for more than 400 Fortune 1000 accounts representing $16 million in annual revenues.
Rob joined River Cities with operations and investment experience in venture-funded technology companies with particular expertise in M&A transactions, channel development and corporate strategy. Rob is responsible for sourcing and evaluating new investment opportunities as well as helping support existing portfolio companies.
Prior to joining River Cities, Rob was VP of Corporate Development at Intelliseek, Inc., a marketing services company backed by River Cities. At Intelliseek, Rob oversaw several acquisitions, managed the Company’s Series B financing and helped establish several strategic OEM and reseller partnerships. Prior to that, he worked with Arthur Andersen & Co. consulting with new ventures on financing, M&A transactions, and other accounting and tax issues.
Rob holds a master’s degree in business administration from the J.L. Kellogg School of Business at Northwestern University, where he graduated with distinction and was awarded Beta Gamma Sigma.

Carter McNabb joined River Cities Capital Funds in 1999 and leads the firm’s healthcare investing practice with concentration on medical device and technology-enabled healthcare service companies.
Previously, Mr. McNabb worked in marketing and business development for Home Technology Healthcare, a comprehensive home healthcare company offering nursing, DME, infusion therapy and hospice across the southeast. Home Technology Healthcare was private equity financed by Willis Stein & Co. and acquired by Integrated Health Services in 1997.
Carter worked in equity research at J.C. Bradford & Co. (now part of UBS) while attending business school at Vanderbilt University. He is a graduate of Trinity College in Hartford, CT. He has led over 14 healthcare investments for River Cities during his tenure and currently serves as Director on the boards of OrthoHelix Surgical Designs, OrthoScan, Nico Neuro, Health Integrated, AcceleCare Wound Centers, and SurgiQuest.
Prior to joining Village Ventures, Matt was Vice President of corporate development and finance at CyberCrop.com, Inc., where he was instrumental in the development of the company’s initial business plan and securing over $25 million in financing. Additionally, he was involved in setting the strategic direction of the company and securing strategic partners.
Prior to CyberCrop.com, Matt was a Vice President at Koch Ventures, Inc., where he led investments in companies such as VerticalNet, Inc. (NASDAQ: VERT), Universal Access, Inc., (NASDAQ: UAXS), and Energy Interactive (Acquired: ABB). Matt focuses on healthcare related investments, including healthcare IT, healthcare services, medical technology, and outsourced services for the pharmaceutical and biotech industries.
Matt graduated from the University of Kansas and now resides in Denver, Colorado.
Charged with driving PerfectServes health system expansion, Tom Hills brings nearly 25 years of management experience in sales, marketing, and finance across a range of industries including healthcare, technology, and consumer products.
Prior to PerfectServe, he served as senior vice president, sales and marketing for CarePages, a social media healthcare company acquired by Revolution Health in 2008. Over a 5-year period, he and his team grew the CarePages client base from 40 to more than 700 acute care hospitals and achieved year-over-year revenue growth of more than 50 percent. Hills also led CarePages initial brand identity efforts, established and managed the company’s creative direction, and led all public relations activity.
Prior to CarePages, Hills served as managing director for Wall Street Systems and in a number of senior management roles at Procter & Gamble.
With more than 15 years of health care expertise in quality and performance improvement, Leigh Ann Myers is PerfectServe’s vice president and chief clinical officer. Myers provides clinical expertise, vision and insight to the company’s strategic clinical direction and product development.
Myers comes to PerfectServe from PatientSafe Solutions where she served as a senior clinical product expert.
Prior to her tenure at PatientSafe Solutions, Myers was a director of collaboratives at Premier healthcare alliance, where she was responsible for developing and executing quality, safety and patient experience collaboratives. Additionally, she designed, developed and implemented solutions to enhance hospital quality and safety improvement efforts for both national and international improvement projects.
Myers holds both a bachelors and masters degree of science in the field of nursing from Queens University.
The chief architect of PerfectServe’s technical infrastructure and network scalability strategy, Don Dally is responsible for all aspects of PerfectServe’s product engineering, development, and network operations. Dally is a technical operations executive with a proven track record of expertly integrating voice and data communications.
Accomplished in all facets of technical operations and customer experience, he has over 20-years experience in the design, development, implementation, and support of business systems and operational procedures. His communications industry expertise includes sales engineering, operations management, systems development/integration management and product engineering management.
Prior to PerfectServe, he held positions with Premiere Technologies Inc. throughout its evolution from an international voice messaging service provider to a $450 million telecommunications and Internet holding company.
With more than 18 years of human resource experience in health care and life sciences markets, Borg joined PerfectServe as vice president of human capital from Optum, a global leader in health care information technology and consulting where she served as the senior director of human capital.
While at Optum, Borg led several of the high-growth businesses to include their accountable care solutions and revenue cycle groups, along with consulting and sales and marketing teams. Her primary focus was to partner with senior leadership driving strategic human capital solutions that would lead to stronger employee and team engagement. In addition, she led several change management efforts around the integration of acquired companies and designed solutions that would fuel the growth of hiring and retaining top talent.
Prior to Optum, Borg served as director of talent management with St. Jude Medical. Prior to St.
Gene Barduson, executive chairman of the Board of Directors, is an information technology industry expert with a proven, 30-year track record of producing increased sales and profitability in large company, start-up and turnaround situations.
Gene started his career with IBM and later became involved in three start-ups during the early stages of the CAD/CAM industry. In 1989, he took an executive position with Shared Medical Systems, Inc. (SMS), now part of Siemens, AG where he served as Senior Vice President for the Western Region and all national accounts.
After SMS, Gene was recruited to serve as president and CEO of EDiX Corporation where he guided a turnaround and grew revenue from $14 million to more than $100 million over a five-year period. During that time he led the successful sale of EDiX to IDX and positioned EDiX as the market-leading technology-based medical transcription company in the country.
With more than 25 years of experience in the healthcare technology and information systems industry, Todd Cozzens is a senior advisor with Silicon Valley-based Sequoia Capital, a premier venture-capital firm with a long track record in technology investing.
Most recently Cozzens served as the CEO of the accountable care solutions unit of Optum, part of UnitedHealth Group.
Cozzens co-founded Picis, the leading high acuity information system company. It was Cozzens original strategic vision of information systems for the high-acuity care areas of hospitals that drove the company to a 50% annual growth rate over a ten year span and to over 2100 hospital clients. He was named Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst & Young in 2005.
Prior to Picis, Cozzens served as the president of a division of Marquette Medical Systems (now GE Healthcare) and held several other senior management positions, including vice president of sales, from 1983 to 1995.
Kyle Salyers is a Co-founder and Managing Director of CHV Capital, Inc. (CHV), a wholly owned venture capital affiliate of Indiana’s largest integrated delivery network, Indiana University Health.
Kyle is the lead investor and a Director or Board Observer for NICO Corporation, MindFrame, NeoChord, Celleration, PerfectServe, Noxilizer and MedVentive.
Mr. Salyers brings an integrated set of experiences and success as an entrepreneur, an investor, an economic development professional, and as a political staff member. As an investor, Mr. Salyers co-managed the venture activities of Rose-Hulman Ventures, an affiliate of Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, in over 30 technology based start-up companies which included Suros Surgical Systems. Suros was acquired by Hologic in 2006 and provided Rose-Hulman Institute the single largest non-grant cash infusion in the institutions history.
