John has spent the last 20 years managing, building and investing in technology and life science companies. John focuses on the intersection of the information technology and life sciences markets including bioinformatics, molecular diagnostics, genomics, proteomics, software and instrumentation for med-tech industries.
John serves on the board of directors of Arcxis, Tibion, Fluxion, Gene Security Network & Wired Benefits. He is an Industry Fellow at the Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology at the College of Engineering as well as a member of the Advisory Council to the Lester Center’s Berkeley Entrepreneurs Forum at UC Berkeley.
Early in his career, he joined Alafi Capital, an Emeryville-based venture firm specializing in early-stage biomedical companies, where he served as an officer of the General Partner.
Randy is a managing director at Claremont Creek Ventures, bringing more than 25 years of technology industry experience as a senior general manager and venture investor to the group. Randy invests in Information Technology and has a special interest in Sensor Networks and Security.
In the years prior to co-founding Claremont Creek Ventures, Randy was a general partner at Novus Ventures and a Venture Partner at Horizon Ventures.
Before his venture capital career, Randy had startup experience as CEO at Captiva Software and as COO at Identix (from its founding through IPO and life on NASDAQ). He served as senior vice president at AT&T Paradyne and as a vice president of marketing and division general manager at ITT Information Systems (Qume).
Early in his career, Randy served in a variety of roles in the minicomputer business at Texas Instruments and began work as a computer research engineer at Cornell Aeronautical Lab.
Eghosa Omoigui is the founder and Managing General Partner of EchoVC Partners. Before this, Eghosa was with Intel for nearly 10 years and his last role was as Intel Capital Director, Strategic Investments, Consumer Internet & Semantic Technologies, where he acted as a senior investment professional focused on platform-agnostic consumer web services and digital media-based investment opportunities. Omoigui also drove ICap’s investment focus on next generation semantic technologies, smart data and the realtime web. Eghosa was personally responsible for (developing supporting theses for and) sourcing investment opportunities in various companies including AdMob, Jaiku, Powerset, Facebook, LinkedIn, Teracent and Pandora.
Prior to this role, Omoigui was Chief of Staff to the President of Intel Capital (the largest global tech corporate VC), and, before that, Chief of Staff for Intels Treasury organization, helping oversee an $18B cash platform.
One of the pioneers of Internet commerce, Jed has spent his career developing, advising and investing in early stage technology ventures. He is currently Javelin’s board member for BoostCTR, Engrade, Famo.us, Imagevision, Netpulse, SmartAsset, SmartZip, Thumbtack, and WellnessFX. Prior to joining Javelin Venture Partners, Jed was a Managing Director of DFJ Gotham Ventures in New York. Prior to DFJ Gotham, Jed was the COO of Yamcon, the developer of the highly acclaimed “SkyScout”, one of the best selling astronomy products of all time. Prior to Yamcon, Jed was the COO and Founder of Rent Net, the Internet’s first rental and relocation guide. Rent Net achieved 95% market penetration, launching disruptive technology solutions that revolutionized the way real estate related advertising was done. It was acquired by Cendant, and three years later, Jed used its infrastructure as the starting point for the formation of Move.com, one of the Internet’s largest real estate sites. Move.
Christine Herron is a Silicon Valley investor and entrepreneur. She is currently a Director with Intel Capital and a Venture Advisor at 500 Startups.
Previously, Christine was a Principal with First Round Capital, an early-stage venture capital firm, where she worked with companies such as BillFloat, Double Verify, Get Satisfaction, Mint, and Xobni. As a Director at Omidyar Network, she developed the Media practice strategy and drove $15 million in early-stage placements.
Prior to joining Omidyar Network in 2005, Christine was the VP of Marketing for Mission Research, which develops small business CRM solutions. While there, she led marketing from initial business plan authoring through paying customer and distribution partner acquisition. Earlier, Christine was the founder and CEO of Mercury2, a software-as-a-service developer of international trade logistics systems. She also managed developer tools at NetObjects, and played for the Internet Server Team at Microsoft.
