Libersy’s mission is to save small business owners time by handling bookings and payments online. Hair dressers, beauty parlors, physiotherapists, bed & breakfasts, restaurants and sport centers can add a book button or any of the other booking widgets to their website to take online appointments.
To directory services and telco’s Libersy offers a white label Click-to-book solution (a generic book button to be added to profile pages and business listings) and time based search. Their ‘database of available time slots’ is open for partners through Libersy’s API.
Libersy has launched in 2009 with British Telecom under http://btbookitnow.com with BTTradespace and under webhosting solutions http://business.bt.com/broadband-and-internet/business-applications/book-it-now.
Libersy has launched in September 2009 under ilocalbookings.nl in the Netherlands, where now 16.000 companies are bookable through ilocal.nl (a Tomtom Company).
Competitors in this space include Bookfresh, Livebookings, Genbook and [Rearden Commerce](http://www.crunchbase.com/company/reardencommerce).
Libersy Booking is Libersy’s core product. It allows small businesses to process online bookings from their customers.
The online reservation system is available in a free, basic (1 person) and advanced version (> 1 person, multiple rooms or resources) and fully featured. It includes an e-commerce module (Paypal integration) to take online payments, SMS confirmations and reminders towards customers and staff members. Staff members can accept and decline appointments by replying to an SMS.
Libersy developed bookings widgets in various formats (book now buttons, pop-ups, and mini booking widgets) that businesses can integrate to an existing website. A social widget has been developed to make restaurants and hair dressers bookable through their Facebook or (in Holland very popular:) Hyves profile page.
Libersy Search lets customers search for available time slots of appropriate merchants, local, and on pricing. This product is still in beta version, and not yet live available.
Libersy was founded in 2006 by enterpreneur Karin Loeffen (www.karinloeffen.com, Msc Economics, blogs for dutchcowboys.nl ). Previously she worked in the online space for multimedia multinationals (European Marketing Manager & New Media) which gave her ample opportunity to analyze the Internet markets of ISPs and Telecoms worldwide. Led by her conviction that online booking of services is inevitable and that this is the next big commercial step for the Internet, she is eager to develop Libersy to a global level.
