The talented argentinian surpassed herself by winning two new Emmys to win a total of three awards that reaffirm her career in Hispanic television in the United States. And along with the success of his film UMA at major international festivals, 2017 marks an unprecedented milestone in his unstoppable career.
The 69th edition of the Emmy Awards, which took place last Saturday 02 December at the luxurious Rosen Centre Hotel, has been responsible for consolidating Natalia Denegri’s career. The coveted statuette arrives again in the hands of the conductor and producer, but on this occasion the Argentine diva has been doubly rewarded for two impressive documentary works made together with the also recognized, the Venezuelan Nelson Bustamante.
Denegri’s glorious night began with the award in the Documental Interés General category for RCTV, 10 years later. A humane and hopeful work that shows the fate of the workers of Radio Caracas Television, Venezuela’s pioneering channel, after a decade of airing on the orders of former president Hugo Chávez.
And as if it were not enough, the second distinction came for Buscando a dios in the area of Programa Religioso. It is a beautiful story of a man who, after being diagnosed with cancer, promises God to travel a different church every Sunday throughout the year.
The Argentinian diva had already paraded through the red carpet of the Emmy Awards in 2015, when she received her first prize for the documentary Doble Exilio II, which tells the story of Cubans who emigrated to Venezuela and then had to go into exile for the second time in the United States; and in 2016 she had won two other nominations.
2017: successes and more successes
The most important American television award is not the only achievement of Natalia Denegri this year. She has also won multiple screen awards in the big screen world for the film UMA, the first feature film produced by her company Trinitus Productions: the Burbank International Film Festival in Los Angeles and the Georgia Latino Film Festival in Atlanta in September; the International Film Festival of India in November and the World Cinema Milan the same night of the Emmy Awards. Film in which he also takes part with a leading role.
The year 2017 will also be remembered as the year his first book in Italian Cuori Guerrieri, published by the publisher Infinito Edizioni and presented with great success in Rome and Venice. The book contains the most powerful success stories that have been featured in his famous show, with the same name, and which is broadcast on premium time in the United States through Mega TV.
“It’s been a year of great emotions”,Natalia said. But not only for the unstoppable progress of his career, but also for his tireless humanitarian work. In addition to the well-known social work that she constantly carries out with her program “Corazones Guerreros” (Warrior Hearts), this year we saw her take along with the Hassenfeld Family Foundation two “vuelos de esperanza” loaded with humanitarian aid to the island of Puerto Rico, after the passage of Hurricane Maria. This work deserved recognition by the United States Congress.
