Overflow Attendance, New Alliances and Launch of SDG Impact Fund Mark Inaugural Event Hosted at the United Nations
New York, NY — September 21, 2018. 5th Element Group PBC, organizer of the inaugural SDG Frontier Finance Forum at the United Nations, reports that the 200-person event was expanded to accommodate more than 300 registrants for the full-day gathering on the International Day of Peace, and has created a strategic new collaborative community.
The speaker lineup reflected a wide range of interests and collaboration. Cross-disciplinary panels punctuated the event, featuring Nobel Laureate Kailash Satyarthi, Adam Rockefeller Growald, world-renowned violinist Tim Fain, former NASA astronaut Ron Garan, and frontier tech leaders like Sally Eaves, Susan Oh, Toni DiMatteo and Dr. W. Scott Stornetta, considered the father of blockchain.

In addition, Quantum Impact Awards were presented to Bassam Youssef, the popular political satirist, and Dr. Deloise Blakely, Goodwill Ambassador at the UN. A FrontierWomen300 Award was presented to Kelsey Cole, CSO and Co-Founder of Adbank. The Earth Ethics Prize was presented to Heidi Kuhn, Founder and CEO of Roots of Peace.
One of the panels featured the launch of the SDG Impact Fund, powered by Fifth Element Fund’s Donor Advised Fund. The Fund’s new website (www.fifthelementfund.org) was unveiled and over $500,000 of seed donations to the Fund were presented on stage from Lauren Selig, Tangled Little Dragon, Megan Kaspar, Colborn Bell, RedPen, and AdBank.
