2018 FEMALE BODYBUILDING SERIES
My name is Sarah, I live in the Hope Valley – near Sheffield, I am 25 years old and I have been full-time resistance training since December 2016. I began my journey following a crash diet, losing 2.5 stone in 4 months. I became underweight and very unhealthy in both body and mind. Now my goals are to maintain a healthy lifestyle, to demonstrate to others the empowerment of resistance training and to show the repayment of a dedicated training and eating plan which is required for competition level.
So far in 2017, I have taken part in two qualifier competitions in April and May. I have three more in line for September and October 2017. My dream is to qualify for a national competition and to get to a professional level.
I currently train resistance at least 6 days per week and train at least two cardio sessions. My diet consists of a 7 day controlled eating plan and one ‘treat’ meal. I work full time as a secretary which I really enjoy but it is difficult to balance a social, work and training life.
I have created this page as I would like to raise funds and awareness for another hard working competition year in 2018. This year I have been self-funded, which has been so hard. I have made it happen due to my love for the sport. Competition entries, attires, travel, gym memberships, training equipment, nutrition and physio are just some of the costs involved.
