The Most Portable Fidget Spinner – SpinCube
SpinCube is the most portable and durable spinner ever created.
About this project
SpinCube is the most compact and portable fidget device with a design that protects the sensitive bearing at its core with an innovative caddy. If you look deeper, you’ll see that it’s innovative in many ways. That’s T8o, we want you to love it, we hope that you do and this is just the start.
For me, this project is my opportunity to give something back to people like me, to have an achievement I can be proud of and try to fulfill my potential.
I believe that Product Design and Engineering are both fundamentally creative pursuits. To me, it’s not about calculating the force on an object or the electric field at a point. It’s about understanding how things are made, what they’re made of and making things that enrich people’s lives.
When someone close to me was diagnosed with Autistic Spectrum Disorder, I began to suspect that I was on the Spectrum as well and, although I’ve never received a formal diagnosis, after finding out about ASD, I have good reason to believe that I am. I certainly understand how the condition is a double-edge sword. It makes it very hard to relate to other people, face-to-face, but easier to understand complex mechanisms and concepts.
When I heard that fidgeting can help ASD sufferers to focus, concentrate and make progress, I began to look into the subject and eventually started to make my own fidget spinner designs. I started to showcase my designs on my Instagram ( @pot8osh3d ). I’ve been active on Social Media for some time and I got a lot of support and encouragement from my online friends but when more and more fidget spinner lovers started following me and gave me really positive feedback, I started making new designs every night and showcasing them every day.
They say that success comes to those who do the same thing over and over again. In my case, if success is measured in attention, complimentary feedback and people asking where they can buy it, my SpinCube design was by far my most successful yet. I love my little design, but it wasn’t until I had it made in metal and it was sitting in my hand that I realized what a great little thing it really is. For the last few months, I’ve been working to bring this campaign into reality, to make this little gem available to all who want it. I hope you’ll love it and together we can make a range of products that will help people with ASD achieve their potential too.

Risks and challenges
Supply chain dynamics can always be a challenge. Our biggest risk will be keeping up with the potential demand of such a popular project. Continuing to look for and have potential part suppliers are always on our mind in case our current supplier has demand issues.
