Qmod is a fun and easy-to-use toy for kids to learn about energy.
Qmod is an educational toy developed to empower kids to learn, experiment and invent with electricity found in common everyday objects.
Our toys are designed to allow kids to learn about the science of energy in a hands-on and memorable way, create new inventions with the energy they have learned to harness, and most of all, have fun powering their imaginations with the possibilities of what the future of energy might be.
Toys Designed to Discover Energy We’ve created an Energy Kit, including our Qmod Energy Block and card game, to help kids learn about the different types of energy around them. Learn how to harness energy from all types of things including:
Toys Designed for Energy Innovation Once the Energy Block is fully charged, power all sorts of things with the energy you have learned to capture including:
The Qmod Energy Block has two modes, Discovery and Charge. In Discover Mode, create experiments that generate electricity and discover how much energy you have at your finger tips. Then switch over to Charge Mode and charge your Energy Block with your very own energy.
The Qmod Card Game introduces new skills such as electrochemistry, circuit design and coding allowing anyone to innovate with energy in a variety of new and exciting ways.
For the Class, Makerspace or Home Qmod has spent the past 2 years working with makerspaces, schools, parents and hundreds of students in order to rethink energy education. As a result we’ve developed our energy kit with tutorials and experiments perfect for group activities or at home with the family.
Developed with love, and a lot of help from friends From the very beginning, Qmod has worked to develop a product with those who are not only specialists in their field, but share a passion to make energy accessible and innovative.
Qmod has had the opportunity to collaborate with some amazing organisations, including Rotterdam’s own Rotterzwam, who introduced Qmod to the wonderful world of fungi and the potentials to generate energy from mushrooms.
In addition to local businesses we’ve had the pleasure of working with some of the top tech incubators in Europe, including Google Launchpad, YES!Delft and E.ON’s on :agile accelerator, who have provided amazing support dedicated to helping us inspire the next generation of energy innovators.
I feel very confident that Qmod will meet the target ship date of the beginning of October 2017.
The design is fully engineered and I have gone through multiple pre-production sample runs with each manufacturing partner.
I should note that the production schedule is based on an order of 500 modules. If I receive order quantities above 500, the manufactures will need a few more weeks to complete the larger quantities. I promise to communicate early and often should any production delays arise.
