Maxim stands at the extreme right in the group photo. He is aged 30 years and is a member of the Katebere Tukore Group.
Maxim is married and has 4 children who all go to school. He resides at Rwencuncu, Kanungu district where he operates a business of selling goats which he has operated for over 4 years. Maxim buys goats from local people at a low prices and sells them at a profit in mobile markets.
The main business he does is goat’s trade. He has other sources of income from coffee farming and a banana platation which have helped him to cater for his family’s financial obligations. However he is challenged with limited capital to carry on his goat selling business. He decided to join Ugafode by mobilizing and forming the Katebere Tukore Group of 10 members located at Rugyeyo Sub County, Kanungu district for financial assistance so as to expand his coffee business to earn more income.
Maxim applied for a loan to improve and develop the goat’s trade business and the whole group got a loan of 5,200,000 UGX.
The group thanks UGAFODE in parternership with Kiva for the financial support rendered to them and aims to expand agriculture and businesses using this loan.
