This diary details how Doyle and Dr. Bell journey to America on a secret forensic mission to solve a string of grisly and mysterious murders. Peopled with Doyle’s real-life contemporaries – including JM Barrie and Robert Louis Stevenson, both of whom attended the University of Edinburgh with Doyle, it is an exciting mix of murder, mystery, literary history, and humor.

The second of the “lost” diaries of young Arthur Conan Doyle, written in 1881 while he was a twenty-two-year-old student at the University of Edinburgh Medical School. Conan Doyle serves as a British spy along with the legendary Doctor Joseph Bell. This diary details how Doyle and Dr. Bell journey to Russia to save Europe from war. Once again peopled with Doyle’s real-life contemporaries – including Dostoyesky and Rasputin.
Adventures in America 1883
The third of the “lost” diaries of young Arthur Conan Doyle, written in 1883 while he was a young doctor starting out in his career. This diary details how Conan Doyle and Dr. Bell journey to America to stop a series of murders and what could escalate into a world war – featuring Herman Melville and Oscar Wilde.

THE AUTHORS
Dr. John Raffensperger is a medical historian who has written articles, textbooks on surgery, a history of pediatric surgery, sailing stories and three novels. He now lives on an island off the coast of Florida.
Prof. Richard Krevolin is a consultant, writer and director. He is the author of many textbooks on writing and storytelling. He was thrilled when Dr. Raff brought him these diaries and enjoyed editing them.
