WHO WE ARE
We are graduates from Birmingham School of Acting. Made up of a creative team from Devon to Derby we bring radical new writing to the stage.
We set up Theatre63 in April 2016 and Cockroached is our debut show. Almost a year on from when the show was conceived we are taking the plunge and going to Edinburgh.
OUR TEAM
William Proudler – Writer
Ruby Etches- Director
George Alex Pollard- Producer/Actor
Freya Sharp- Actor
Kirsten Banks- Stage Manager
OUR SHOW
Nearly everyone is dead and Taylor is surviving, but alone. Their life was ‘fine’ until they found the radio, it was ‘fine’ until they heard that voice. A post apocalyptic black comedy using live radio equipment to explore a connection between two people who shouldn’t have listened.
The two characters are gender neutral so the actors will swap roles giving an alternate performance each night.
WHERE WE HAVE BEEN
We have taken the show to venues such as: The Old Joint Stock, The Wardrobe Theatre, The Spread Eagle and the Lion and Unicorn Theatre. We are excited to be working with the Pleasance.
OUR GOAL
In the budget our goal is to reach £4,282 through crowdfunding, this a specific amount as this is the money we need to get to the Fringe.
This campaign is to help develop us as artists and going to the Fringe will be a great opportunity to reach a wider audience and showcase our work. As shown in our budgeting, the main source of finance is through self-funding. This is understandable as unfortunately creating theatre is an expensive endeavour. We still fall short from covering all our expenses, but with your help you can get us to reach our goal. We will survive (like Taylor) on fruit with syrup for our time at the Fringe so any contribution will be greatly appreciated!
DATES AND TIMES
If you are at the Edinburgh Fringe this year, it would be great to see you there! We will be doing the full four week run at the Pleasance That! Pleasance Courtyard, Venue 33 from the 2nd- 28th of August at 2PM.
