Wifey have played just about everywhere in Sydney at some point, and with a lot of fine, fine bands from Australia and OS.
After we released our first EP Salt Sugar Fat, shit happened, and we took a while to get to this, our debut album.
Over that time we lost members, gained them, changed careers, had kids, wrote songs about a heap of, sometimes heavy, shit, threw away songs, and finessed our 13 best, 65 minutes of music, into Monsters’ Rights, our prodigal debut album. And we’d like to finally put it out so the world can hear.
SHORT VERSION: If you can, please purchase the amazing value PACKAGE DEAL with a CD, Stubby Cooler, Tea-Towel, T-shirt & Drawstring Bag! The more people purchase this pack, the more likely we can pay off AND promote the album.
We’ve doing this professionally, but parsimoniously. We recorded at Linear & Turning studios, Google Sydney’s jam room and in a couple of living rooms. It was recorded by Evan McHugh, Dorney Mayes, Jai Ingram & Dan Arena. It’s being mixed to within an inch of its life by Dan Arena, and then mastered by William Bowden to sound like a krispy creme donut with a whiskey glaze. If you want the raw numbers read on…
Recording: $4300
Mixing: Andy’s firstborn goes to Dan Arena and a lifetime supply of child-minding for Dan’s own bub. .
Mastering: $1495
CD and Merch production: $2500
Pozible fees: $750
Artwork/Publicist/Publicity: $1705 + every red cent we get after costs.

We just want to get it to you, but we appreciate paying for shit online is going out of style. So we’ve tried to put together a package of merch that should give most people a reason to get their debit card out and put a shirt on their back, or a spare drawstring bag in their cupboard.
We’d also like, given how long and how much we’ve put into these songs, to get them out there, you know, to people that aren’t our close friends.
