A Momentus Group sells yearbooks and graduation products to schools of all levels. Our model is doing everything opposite that is currently being done. The common companies continue to kill the industry with their high costs and stale product lines.
A Momentus Group was created by former yearbook sales representatives from the commonly know companies to bring a better experience to schools, students and parents. We focus on yearbook publishing and product development, while building new product lines for graduation products. Our group is doing everything opposite of what the common companies provide. Them – conventional printing that is cheap.
Us – custom service and marketing plans.
Them – sales forces that drive costs up to the consumer. Upwards of 10-20% of a customers bill is to the sales rep.The common companies create cookie cutter marketing programs that sales reps push on schools that drive costs up.
Us – relevant product development. We are developing new products and technology the common companies won’t develop.
Them – they continue to sell the same product lines from the 80’s.
Us – we partner with Walter’s Publishing (owned by Taylor Corporation) out of Mankato, Minnesota that is the fastest growing yearbook printer.
Them – common yearbook companies continue to close plants and cut employees.
Bottom line – we’re the best kept secret in the industry!
We asked ourselves “is there a problem here that we can help solve? Is there a new way that’s better for students, the adviser and the staff working on their yearbook?”
The problem is that the yearbook experience is too stressful for an adviser and too expensive for students. The commonly known yearbook companies are killing the industry with their high prices. Costs continue to go up while less and less students are buying yearbooks.
We have a better way. We’re doing things the unyearbook company way—we’re putting the people that matter first. Schools don’t need the common yearbook companies as much as they think they do. Schools deserve better pricing, better options, better deadlines and a better real world experience..
Again, per our model, we are doing everything the opposite of the common yearbook companies. Our sales reps earn a much higher rate of revenue than what they would have been paid at a common yearbook company. This stimulates faster growth and builds a higher morale with sales reps. We want to bring on 4-6 more sales reps throughout the country in the next 2-5 years to continue our fast growth.
Our team also consists of a marketing expert and an entrepreneur from a different industry.
We have no debt and have self-funded the company up to this point.
We’re asking for investment dollars to hire more sales reps, begin to build new products and help build our brand quicker. Our goal is to generate $5 million in sales in 6 years.
