MEPOS – commercial name.
MEPOS INNOVATIVE TECHLOGIES Ltd – Private limited company.
MRPP – Metal Reinforced Polymer Pipe, this product MEPOS.
MEPOS is composed of the following assets:
1. Intellectual Property – inventions regarding the MRPP production technology, design documents, technical information, equipment diagrams.
2. International patents – the technology (production) and the equipment.
3. The prototype – industrial models in relation to the MRPP production plants.
4. The Company – legal entity, the jurisdiction area covers United Kingdom.
5. “MEPOS Team”, it is composed of engineers and technicians.
6. Statistical data 2000/2015 – MRPP tubes use in pipes and channels; statistical data in relation to economic and estimated life.
7. Local market.
Engineers of Mepos Team developed a unique technology of producing polymer pipes with a shaped rigid metal frame.
The MRPP is a unique engineering product. It features a number of technological innovations, thus creating a number of economic and ecological benefits. Our production technology, production line and the products are subjects of international patent rights.
Unlike most pipe production technologies, production of MRPPs is a single-stage process.
Greenhouse emissions are lower compared to steel pipe production, which makes our technology more eco-friendly right from the production phase.
Our team is developing new MRPP series for new markets:
– large diameter MRPPs with the diameter of 315 to 1000 mm and the operational pressure of up to 7.5 megapascals. These are the most common pipes. They are used in all the branches of industry.
– MRPPs for housing and communal service. The diameter of 63 to 1000 mm, the operational pressure of up to 3 megapascals. These pipes are cheaper than metal and polymer ones while being even more durable.
– MRPPs for pipelines with the ultimate bursting pressure of 40 megapascals at 170 degrees Celsius. These pipes can be used for offshore carbohydrates extraction, in reservoir pressure maintenance systems and as casing pipes and risers for oil extraction.
– metal-polymer pipe fittings for all the MRPP types.
MRPP, combines the advantages of polymer and metal pipes.
A rigid lattice frame welded from steel wire shapes an MRPP. It is surrounded by a layer of polymer material which forms the inner and outer surfaces of an MRPP.
The lattice frame is a mesh made of metal wire. Its nodes are fixed with electric welding which makes it extremely robust. Lateral frame segments create a continuous spiral. It redistributes the forces emerging in pipe walls in the best way possible.
– an MRPP is not prone to corrosion, which is the main reason for rapid wear of metal pipes;
– its resistance to chemically aggressive products makes it suitable for the chemical industry;
– an MRPP is wear-resistant, because the inner polymer layer is highly resistant to abrasion;
– the heat loss of an MRPP’s wall is 12 times lower compared to a metal pipe, so an MRPP doesn’t require additional insulation in standard conditions;
Lifetime of MRPP is over 50 years.
Oil and gas production, borehole product and bottom water transportation.
APIQR, Certificate Registration #0817, ISO 9001:2008, Design and Manufacture of Stell Reinforced Plastic Pipe and Fittings.
Smoothly polished inner surface decreases the flow resistance 1.5 times for liquids and 2 times for gases compared to a metal pipe. It enables to transport more product all other things being equal.
Qualities of an MRPP increase the reliability and safety of a pipeline, decrease the risks of ecological and technological disasters.
Transportation of acids, alkalis and salting liquors.
Housing and communal services – cold and hot water supply, force main.
If you use MRPPs for pipelines, you don’t need to apply antirust treatment or inhibitory protection, such as additional insulation or special inner surface cover. MRPPs also don’t require cathodic protection.
Lower costs for construction and maintenance of a pipeline.
Non-ferrous and rare-earth metals and isotopes extraction using highly concentrated acids and alkalis, hydrometallurgy.
Conventional mining involves extracting ore from the ground and processing it to extract the minerals being sought. ISR (in situ recovery, also known as in situ leaching (“ISL”) or solution mining) involves using liquids (commonly referred to as “leaching liquors” or “lixivants”) which are pumped through the orebody while it is in the ground to recover the minerals out of the ore by leaching. Consequently there is little surface disturbance and no tailings or waste rock are generated. However, the orebody needs to be permeable to the liquids used, and located so that the liquids do not contaminate groundwater away from the orebody.
Construction of offshore objects and pipelines.
Industrial and edible salt extraction.
As casing pipes and risers for artesian wells.
Geothermal waters.
