Picture This
You are a mother to be in your ninth month, the rains are coming. There are no sealed roads, you are hours away from any clinic. What do you do? How do you get medical attention. Or imagine, you are the mother of an infant who has a high fever, how can you get to a hospital to save the babies life? Sometimes it is impossible to get out of the village during the rainy season, because of these conditions.
What is the problem
The major concern is that the death rate of infants has been significantly increased. Mothers and their babies lose their lives during childbirth, and many die out of minor illness. This is as a result of no nearby hospital in the area as well as no clean water.
Here’s what we are doing about it
Ammuri Town Community Hospital Project
We are asking for individual donations from generous supporters. So far our supporters have helped us to complete the foundations. Rotary of Western Australia have donated two containers of hospital equipment.
This hospital will help reduce infant and maternal mortality, and to improve the health of the local population.
You can join us
We need $30,000 to complete the roofing of the hospital. What does it take to make a difference. In the words of Stella McCartney, and I quote “Everyone can do simple things to make a difference, and every little bit really dose count”. Each of us can make a difference but together we can make a change.
Certificate of Appreciation
For all donations a letter of thanks and for the larger donations a Certificate of Appreciation will accompany the letter. Those who wish to have their names published will appear on our website. Aidaustralia.org
When the hospital is completed and ready to be opened, those supporters who wish to attend will be notified.
So if you want your name to appear on our website and you wish to be notified of the opening please contact us.
