The behavioral shift of using technology to park in private spaces has not yet occurred. We’ve created the parking share economy by building a trusted and verified network of private parking spaces for drivers to reserve. With our patent pending technology, drivers can extend their parking reservations directly through the app.
MyLücke solves a driver’s everyday parking needs while providing a platform for Renters to monetize their underutilized space.
Thousands of Angelenos are using MyLücke to rent out and reserve parking spaces in the LA area. We were chosen as 1 of 50 startups to watch in 2017 by Built in LA.
Read on to learn more about MyLücke and ask yourself — why pay for a private driver, when you can reserve a private space?
It doesn’t take an advanced degree in urban planning to know that city parking is the worst. Congestion, traffic and a competitive landscape for hunting parking spaces can really damper someone’s mood.
If you’ve ever driven in the city, we’re willing to bet that at least a few of these ring a bell:
These are the realities of city parking. In a world that runs on instantaneous connection, immediate communication, and quick action, we all have better things to do with our time than deal with parking headaches. And here’s the good news: because the world runs on instantaneous connection, immediate communication, and quick action — we don’t have to.
This is the Digital Age. We are more connected and more responsive than at any point in human history. The sharing economy has already given us food on demand, rooms on demand, rides on demand — Isn’t it about time it gave usparking on demand?
At MyLücke, we think so. And we don’t just think so — we’re doing something about it.
Supply & Demand = The fundamental model of MyLücke
If every commuter swapped their parking spaces everyday, would public parking even be needed? Imagine all of the people driving out of the city and leaving their driveways empty, then imagine all of the people coming into the city, looking for a place to park. Doesn’t it make you wonder why we never connected the dots sooner?
Commuters driving into the city need parking. And, all around the city, there are individuals and businesses with parking to spare — whether it be single-car driveways or a multi-vehicle parking lots — our goal is to optimize the use of those spaces.
MyLücke connects drivers with spaces and provides an easy to use platform for residential and business owners to monetize their underutilized space.
Parking space providers simply list their location by signing up at MyLücke.com or through the iOS app, and complete a few quick steps including availability, price and pictures. Once your parking place has been listed in the app, Drivers can reserve a space that meets their needs.
The result: a simple. no-muss, no-fuss parking solution, and a win-win-win for everybody.
MyLücke provides a much-needed solution to the expensive and often fruitless hunt for parking spaces. Drivers know in advance where they are going to park and how much the space will cost for the time they want to park.
MyLücke provides an opportunity for people to turn their under-utilized parking spaces into a money maker. Renters can list their space by the hour, day, week or month and can choose the rate they want to charge. The best part? Renters collect 100% of the rate they set for their spaces.
Getting started with MyLücke is fast and easy:
We’re launching MyLücke in one of the most challenging cities for parking: Los Angeles.
Los Angeles is notorious for its parking and traffic congestion. In fact, it ranks as the 3rd worst city in the United States to own a car. LA also has significant air quality issues stemming from vehicle exhaust, not to mention that roughly 270 million gallons of gas is wasted every year as a result of inefficiencies in the process of looking for parking.
But Los Angeles isn’t just a nightmare for the city’s commuters — it’s also a dream for the city’s startups. Los Angeles has quickly become a springboard for many great tech startups and app developers, including Bixel Exchange, LAVA, WeWork, Snapchat, Tinder, and more — and MyLücke was recently named a “Startup to Watch 2017” by the city’s premiere online startup community, Built in LA.
Both of these factors taken together make Los Angeles the ideal market for LA to make its debut, but LA is just the beginning. Our success here will serve as a model for other cities with similar parking logistic challenges.
After all, they say if you can make it in LA, you can make it anywhere — and we at MyLücke look forward to proving it.
MyLücke is making awesome progress toward our goal of reinventing the Los Angeles parking landscape once and for all. Our apps for iOS and web are fully developed, with both the parking space seeker and parking space provider sides of the equation fully built. 2,000 people are already using MyLücke to rent and reserve parking spaces.
MyLücke is a classic story of two founders setting out to solve their own problem — and building a company in the process.
CEO and co-founder Emily Webb experienced the frustration of trying to find parking in the crowded city of Los Angeles on a daily basis. Meanwhile, chairman and co-founder Tracy Moody found meetings and tight schedules were frequently impacted by the struggle to find parking. Both Tracy and Emily looked around Los Angeles and noticed an abundance of empty parking spaces in neighborhoods and private business lots around the city. But there was simply no way to access these private parking spaces.
It was out of these frustrating moments that the vision of creating a private parking marketplace was born – a marketplace where parking supply, demand, and cost were not a mystery. And they understood that this marketplace provided an opportunity to make a difference in the commuting lifestyles of Angelenos.
As CEO of MyLücke, Emily manages the company’s operations and overall vision. Prior to founding MyLücke, Emily spent time in the world of finance, raising over $500k for a Los Angeles hedge fund. However, she soon found that her passion lay more within her entrepreneurial spirit than her position in the world of finance. Emily graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from St. Lawrence University — the first in her family to graduate from college, a feat which she paid for herself. She is a member of Bixel Exchange and Los Angeles Venture Association (LAVA) and is a business mentor and advisor for Camp Start-Up.
As Chief Technical Officer of MyLücke, Anthony oversees all technical aspects of the product’s development. Prior to working with MyLücke, he worked on such websites a AmericanIdol.com and GoArmy.com. Anthony is also the owner of Catapult Interactive, a technology, strategy and marketing firm.
Prior to co-founding MyLücke with Emily, Tracy served as President and Chief Growth Officer at Vision Source, which he saw through two successful sales of the company. Tracy has been enjoying retirement since 2012, and is using his time to help the next generation of founders take their businesses from vision to reality.
