Letters to Lions
We are Letters to Lions, a four piece Indie Rock n’ Roll band from the south coast of Sydney. We have been making music together since 2012 and in 2016 released our first EP Clean Eating which saw songs being played on radio and added to playlists all around the world and gave us the opportunity to play all around.
We are currently recording our Sophomore Ep at Parliament Studios in Sydney with acclaimed producer Lachlan Mitchel. We have also been invited to Toronto to partake in the Canadian Music Week in April as a platform to showcase our new music, we have also taken the opportunity to book our own shows in several other cities over Canada but we need your help to get there.
We are hoping to raise $3000 and any other money we can accumulate in donations to assist in covering costs of recording the EP, Creating products (Merch + Vinyls etc.), the relese of the EP also to get us to Canada. There are some rad prizes you can purchase by donating so jump on board and have some fun.
Please donate and help our music be heard.
How The Funds Will Be Used
Every donation big or small will be eternally appreciated and will contribute to:
-Costs of Recording, Mixing and Mastering.
-Production of CDs & EP Artworks.
-EP Release Campaign. (Publishing)
-Travelling to Canada.
-Expenses Abroad (Van Hire, Amp & Gear Hire, Accomodtion, etc.)
-Merch (T-Shirts, Hats etc.)
The challenges that arise are firstly raising the money, this is our first crowd funding campaign and we are very nervous about reaching our target amount. It is also our first time travelling overseas, which as an independent band poses even more challenges in terms of funding and coordination, especilly heading somewhere as far away as Canada. But the way we see it is that the further we can afford to travel the wider the audiences will be that hear our music.
And lastly we are also facing the time constraint of finishing the EP in before for our trip to Canada, including mixing and mastering which we are working ourselves to death to get finished.
