Connecting America’s service members and veterans together, one day at a time!
About this project
I am a veteran of the United States Army, currently working in software development and I’ve recently created an iOS application (America’s Armed Forces Family, or AAFF) for all active duty service members and veterans which focuses on connecting current service members and veterans in one centralized environment.
The application has access to service member links (crisis lines, benefits, healthcare, discounts, news, etc.), an activity feed and private messaging. It gives us access to all of our military brothers and sisters which is helpful for new military personal about to ship off to basic training looking for guidance, others just looking to connect (because no one can understand us like those that have traveled down the same road as we have) or vets/current service members struggling with more severe issues.
Those deployed can stay in touch and share their stories via pictures and updating news feeds and our entire military family is at our fingertips at all times.
We need assistance with company startup costs, server costs and porting the application over to Android.
Let’s bring our nation’s service members together in one fun environment made especially for the brave and courageous!
Risks and challenges
Any time you make a mobile application, you understand that you might face issues and challenges – this is especially true when you are making a server/client application. We will work our hardest to make sure the application is in a “ready-to-use” state at all times, and offer end-to-end support for any questions you may have.
