Outsiders Amsterdam The Book

40 newcomers to Amsterdam about the city of their life and work

About this project

Do you remember what triggered you to leave everything behind and take the first step to your new life and career in a new city? Was it the bubbling and fizzing creativity of the metropolis? The nightlife scene, or the daily hustle and bustle? Was it the city itself, that never seems to stand still?

WHAT IS OUTSIDERS AMSTERDAM?

A book about 40 different people and the Amsterdam dreams the’re making a reality. How did they fall in love with the city? How did they spent their first days and months there? How different did the city seemed to them then, than it does now?

Outsiders Amsterdam, our first book in the Outsiders series, is a book with 40 inspirational stories that newcomers to Amsterdam have to tell.

In this book they tell their own story about the city of their dreams, life and work. This book is about all of the opportunities that the city of Amsterdam offers them. Stories that will move you and show you the city of cheese, beer, healthy food & living, jeans, dance, comedy, start-ups, entrepreneurship, art and diamonds in ways you never saw it before.
