I am dearly passionate about food, all aspects of food. The way it is grown, the way it is harvested, the way it is cooked, the way it tastes and the way it enhances your life. I am convinced that food is an exceptionally important part of our lives, and needs to be considered as carefully, as many of our most important life concerns. I spent my childhood traveling to and living in several tropical countries including Madagascar, France, Gabon, Guinea and South Africa just to name a few. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Every time we discovered a new country and culture, I discovered new food, new rituals around it, rich local traditions and new flavors, new gastronomy and new tastes. To me it showcased the beauty, the multiplicity, the creativity in our world when it comes to food, a resource that is so present within our lives, and so indispensable to our wellbeing. I obtained engineering degrees and was working in technology. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . I became a wife, a mom, an excellent home chef, and a recipe creator, and still my sheer passion for food perdured, and possibly grew stronger. As a female engineer, armed with a solid scientific approach, a determination to create flavors as unique, nuanced, interesting as possible, food as fresh and creative, but overall healthy and nourishing as possible, I was on my way. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . The journey of creation of Yummy+Society took over 27 months. From farmer and ingredient selection, to recipe creation, testing and perfecting, to packaging design, to mock ups manufacturing. I travelled to Africa, to Asia, to farmland California to meet directly with farmers and growers, taste the crops, speak to them directly and bring ingredients as authentic as possible. Inspired by travels, flavors, cultures, food from around the world, I am determined to create food that is authentic, nourishing, healing, that we can defend and that is respectful of our bodies and the people we share it with. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . From working with women cooperatives in 3rd world countries, to grow, nurture, and harvest delicious super fruits, to working with world renown scientists and engineers to devise better technical solutions to sustainable food production based on kitchen to lab methodology transfers and physical, not chemical based solutions. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . I know with certitude that this is only the beginning of our food adventure. By making food that is decadently-delicious, incredibly wholesome, and truly convenient, the journey to change the world through food has now started.
