Premium denim shirts handcrafted in NY, without the premium price.
About this project
My Dad: Carmelo is an old school pattern maker from Italy. He came to New York in 1970 to follow his dream of working in fashion and has spent over 40 years perfecting his craft. The fit of our shirts was made using the traditional method of paper, scissor, and a pencil. He was the inspiration for starting Bridge & Boro so we can carry on his craft and start a company for future Bari generations.
A passion for Denim: We LOVE denim and we believe that you should know where your denim comes from. So we are committed to using the some of the best denim in the world and telling you exactly which mill we source it from. For this campaign we are using denim from Cone Mills, America’s oldest denim mill, and Berto Textiles, an Italian mill rooted in innovation that was founded in 1887.
Made in NY: We are a New York brand and we believe in authenticity. So we choose to make our shirts right here to support the few local artisans that remain. This is where it started for my Dad 50 years ago and where we are committed to staying.
Details: Each denim shirt features our signature red stitch inside the wrist button. This discreet detail is entirely designed by hand so every shirt is unique. Our buttons are sourced from Italy. We use chain stitched side seams so the inside of your shirt looks just as good as the outside.
Fair Pricing: After middlemen and markups denim shirts of this quality could retail for over $250. We are offering our shirts directly to you through Kickstarter for the incredible value of only $99.
Our signature ‘Tailored Fit’ is flattering, but not overly slim and accommodates most body types. Women can size up for a more relaxed boyfriend style fit.
Once the campaign is complete we will send you a more detailed size chart and ‘where to measure’ guidelines.
The Style Guide
We will also offer every single backer a digital download of our denim shirt styling guide. Whether you choose Bridge & Boro for your denim shirt or not, we want everyone to look and feel their best when putting together their denim shirt outfit.
A Thousand Thanks! Grazie Mille!
Welcome to the Family!
Risks and challenges
We have been producing our collections of shirts and jeans in the New York for over 4 years. We have great relationships with our mills and suppliers and we are fully confident we will deliver all of our denim shirts on time. Delays are possible, but we will do everything we can to mitigate those risks.
Our Tailored fit accomodates most body types, but in case your are not happy with your denim shirt we will gladly facilitate a return or exchange.
Since our denim uses real indigo there is a possibility some of the blue will rub off. This goes away after the first wash if it even happens at all.
We want everyone who backs our project to be happy with their Bridge & Boro denim shirt(s). If for whatever reason you are not happy with your shirt we will gladly facilitate an exchange or return on unworn merchandise within 14 days of receipt.
