We are making an album of traditional Indian Devotional songs, but we’ve interpreted them in our own way.
It’s a double album which also includes ambient and chill remixes of the songs.
We met in Melbourne Australia in 2013 at an Indian Music recital in a church.
On the night, we were invited to improvise a Bhajan together un-rehearsed and having never previously met.
We loved the experience and decided to work together, developing our own versions of Devotional “Bhajans” that Aarti has been singing since she was 4 years old.
The album is nearly ready and with the help of this funding campaign will be delivered in Mid October!

So far, this album has been made by borrowing money from family and friends and with the kindness of other musicians and creatives giving their time and skills.
The first challenge for this project is to achieve a target of 400 album pre-sales to cover all costs.
Our approach is to point out that buying this album is helping to support an entire community of creatives and helping contribute to the wider multicultural arts sector.
We believe the quality speaks for itself and that there is a need to continue the tradition of devotional songs by finding new ways to interpret and express them.
We are also supporting awareness of Bhajans and devotional music by creating an online hub for those who want to learn more about the songs, their origins, meaning, and the people who perform them.
We hope by sharing music of the heart and of devotion that it may contribute to the atmosphere of beauty in the world. :)
