We Help Patients and Families Experiencing Serious Medical Conditions Plan for Future Healthcare
Iris Plans reduces the cost of complex care by 25% with our Advance Care Planning (ACP) solution for health insurers and providers. We dramatically reduce unnecessary care delivered to patients facing serious illness – a focused population that drives significant spending. Our telehealth platform allows Iris healthcare professionals to meet with patients and their families anytime, anywhere, creating a plan to guide major healthcare decisions. We have decades of palliative care experience, a rare skill, and deliver a targeted offering at significantly lower cost than a traditional palliative program.Unnecessary care is the largest driver of waste in our healthcare system.
At an annual cost of $210 billion (IOM) it is larger than 90% of sectors in the US economy. It lowers the quality of care, creates suffering for patients and families, and places a tremendous financial strain on patients and insurers alike. Advance care planning is a proven solution to this problem, able to reduce the delivery of unnecessary care by an estimated $80 billion.

“Getting through the healthcare system, at many doctors’ offices and different hospitals, has been a dizzying experience. ACP helped me understand what I want out of my healthcare (which is complicated!). It also opened my eyes to things that turned out to be important that I never knew I should think about before these discussions.”
“Planning for my medical care in the future lifted a big burden off my kids. I could see the relief in their faces after we finished the process.”
