Crowdability: Syde – Fantasy Sports with Cash Prizes

iCrowdNewswire - Sep 21, 2016

Fantasy Sports with Cash Prizes

Gaming, Sports & Recreation

Los Angeles, California

SYDE is a patent-pending fantasy sports platform that empowers users to play quick, simple, daily games by asking users to make a single decision: Choose SYDE 1 or SYDE 2. Whichever SYDE scores the most fantasy points wins.

The company creates compelling fantasy match-ups, eliminating the “team management” elements, position requirements, roster requirements and salary caps from the games. No need for a season-long commitment or to join a league. SYDE offers dozens of match-ups every day at varying game entry amounts ($1-$100) across NFL, NBA, NHL and MLB.

SYDE will drive revenue primarily from transaction fees on game entries, with secondary sources coming from licensing and advertising in the out years.

It aims to expand the pie of potential users by offering a product that appeals to the masses. SYDE seeks to establish a foothold in the fantasy sports market before launching into the nascent, high growth social betting and online gaming markets as deregulation accelerates.

Dr. Joseph Breeden – Advisor

Dr. Breeden has almost 20 years of experience in financial services. Prior to founding Prescient Models, he co-founded Strategic Analytics in 1999, where he led the design of advanced analytic solutions including the invention of Dual-time Dynamics. In addition to lending analytics, Dr. Breeden has built models for various industries, including four years predicting outcomes for NBA, NCAA Basketball, NHL, and Golf. Much of that work is still in production today.

Dr. Breeden has created models through the 1995 Mexican Peso Crisis, the 1997 Asian Economic Crisis, the 2001 Global Recession, the 2003 Hong Kong SARS Recession, and the 2007-2009 US Mortgage Crisis and Global Financial Crisis. These crises have provided Dr. Breeden with a rare perspective on crisis management and the analytics needs of executives for strategic decision-making. His book “Reinventing Retail Lending Analytics: Forecasting, Stress Testing, Capital, and Scoring for a World of Crises” was published by Riskbooks in 2010. He currently serves as associate editor for the Journal of Risk Model Validation. Dr. Breeden founded Prescient Models LLC to expand the adoption of best-in-class models across many application areas. Whether via consulting or product development partnerships, Prescient models helps its clients develop a better vision of the future through modeling and analytics. The recent financial crises highlighted for everyone the inadequacy of overly simplistic past approaches. Presicent Models also helps clients improve the techniques with which businesses, lenders, and government regulators judge the effectiveness of their models.
