“He who is not courageous enough to take risks will accomplish nothing in life.” – Muhammad Ali
Growing up I have always had an interest in art. My parents began to notice my abilities as early as 5 years old. They would take me on outings around Oakland and other places in The Bay to expose me to various inspirations. My parents made sure I had art supplies to keep me growing creatively. They also taught me and my siblings how to persevere regardless of my environment. Throughout the years I continued to develop my artistic skills. I went to college and there were times I almost didn’t want to finish but the family values I had wouldn’t let me stop. With a toddler, Being a full-time student and having a part-time job, I completed college majoring in motion graphic design and computer science.
As a single father of 2 artistic daughters, they look to me to teach them. They have inherited my artistic abilities, they love to draw, mold clay, and create. They look to me for guidance. I want to teach my daughters perseverance and the importance of business ownership. Most importantly, I want to teach them that there are no limits to what they can become. Being born and raised in Oakland there were opportunities for me to turn down the wrong path. But through the support of my family and the vision for my life, I am a success. For the past 6 years I have built my graphic design business. I have become a one stop shop for graphic designer service and more. I have captured intimate moments in maternity photography and I have commanded a room’s attention as a DJ. It is time for my business to expand and for me to set higher limits.
