Natalia’s story

Natalia is a 30-year-old woman who is married with two children. Her main activity, along with her husband, is agriculture. They farm their own fields along with another field that is leased from relatives. They grow raspberries and summer and autumn apples.

Their tractor is small and does not have enough capacity to meet the demands of their farm, so Natalia needs a bigger tractor that can do all the necessary work.

In order to realize her dream, she requested a loan from Kiva. The purchase of this tractor will help her with her agricultural work and she will not be forced to rely on others, thus saving time and money.

This loan is special because:

It provides working capital for rural populations to start and grow businesses.

Priminvestnord is a small non-bank financial institution located in Soroca, Moldova, that aims to reduce the problem of poverty in Moldova by providing loans for agriculture and rural business development. They offer loans to people who suffer from low wages and limited job opportunities and who can’t get a loan from commercial banks.
