Adding Sparkle to Metropolitan Studios!
Metropolitan Studios in EAV needs your help in reaching their goal of creating the best space!
There a great need in the Atlanta Area for something new – a space that speaks to the artistic community. More than a dance studio, Metropolitan Studios – An Arts & Movement Community, will also serve as a creative space for a variety of classes, workshops, and intimate events – and we need your help so that we can grow and offer more variety in what we can host! We want to create a place that inspires!
Ursula Undress, Roula Roulette, and Talloolah Love are teachers from The Atlanta School of Burlesque, and have been teaching at a studio in North West Atlanta for the past three years. They have seen a great need in the community and the Greater Atlanta Area for something new – a space that speaks to the artistic community. This will be more than a dance school, it will also serve as a creative space for a variety of classes, workshops, and intimate events. We are here to announce that we are opening Metropolitan Studios – An Arts & Movement Cooperative! We have signed a lease on a gorgeous new space in East Atlanta Village/Atlanta, Georgia that will not only house the school, but be a sparkling new event and theatrical production studio for the performing arts!
Some of you know these gals as instructors, producers, and performers in the national burlesque scene. Did you also know that they all have backgrounds that qualify them for owning and running a business? Ursula has over 20 years of experience in musical theater, along with a BFA in Graphic Design. She also has 10+years experience in live music venue management, and 3 years of event production management & design under her belt. Roula has decades of theatrical experience in both stage and production management, an MA in Communication Arts and extensive sales experience. Talloolah has been one of the figureheads in Atlanta Burlesque for over a decade, has performed all over the world, is an exquisite instructor, marketer, and social media maven. She also has front-end management experience for local Atlanta gyms.
As producers, these women know that Atlanta is suffering when it comes to acquiring adequate venues to house shows, rehearsals, and stage productions. They have decided to stop beating their heads against the wall and open an all-in-one place for the community! If you help us, you will be contributing to the advancement in not only the burlesque artistic vein, but you will be supporting other local artists, producers, and people who want to have a place to congregate, collaborate, and entertain.
