Octavia’s story

Octavia is a humble woman. She is 58 years old and married. She studied through elementary school and lives in her own house, which is of rustic architecture and made of local materials. It has adobe walls and a roof made of shingles as well as basic services such as electricity and water. Her home is located in the community of Pucara Chico de Tiraque. Octavia has three children, who are financially dependent on her.

She makes a living in agriculture. She cultivates the following products seasonally: mixed potatoes, green beans in their pods, corn kernels, forage oats, and others. All of these products are cultivated on land that has great irrigation due to flooding.

Octavia is requesting a loan to buy potato seeds and organic fertilizer with the hope of increasing her income and, that way, providing a better quality of life for her family.
