I grew up in a small town in Maryland. My father worked very hard to support my family and always strived towards improving the future for all of us. He became his own boss. I learned from that experience early on which excited me with the entrepreneurial spirit. I had a deep passion to design through art and technology. I remember always having a notepad beside me so I could sketch and draw, whether caricatures or technical drawings. There is such a profound feeling that you get when you envision something in your mind and allow that to flow onto paper. I was fascinated by technology even when the personal computer was just an imagination in someone’s mind. I think the blending of art and technology has provided me with the ultimate ability to feed the creative juices within me and therefore led to my pursuit into the design field. After years of working for others I forged my way back to school to earn a degree in Computer Information Systems. At that point I made the decision to venture out on my own.
I started my web design business, 223 Web Studio. Working from my basement and with only a couple of clients, I began my adventure as an entrepreneur. Once again, I was able enjoy my love of design, but now incorporate that into creating websites for other businesses that needed a web presence. I invite the opportunity to be able to develop something from a sketch and turn it into a completed work that allows other small business owners the opportunity to present themselves to the world.
I plan to broaden my business services by increasing branding strategy locally and online. I look forward to continuing my work and supporting other businesses in the future.
