ARO is an Austin-based e-commerce store that focuses on independent and emerging jewelry designers. We carry a curated selection of top independent and under-the-radar designers, not carried in mass market stores and typically designed or made in the US. We’re expanding our retail business and moving into a bigger store-front. At our new location, we plan on expanding our goods into clothing, shoes, home and accessories. To help us fill our new storefront with more inventory, we are looking for $17,726 in funding.
Our mission is to foster the growth of independent and emerging jewelry designers. We bring you handcrafted, locally made jewelry from around the country that you typically will not find in your major department store or retail chains.
About the owner
ARO founder, Leslie Hernandez, comes from a long line of jewelry and fashion enthusiast. Leslie also has a background in fashion jewelry and digital marketing/public relations. Before launching her business, Leslie was helping jewelry designers in NYC. She was instrumental in running and establishing their lines. With her passion, experience, and knowledge of the fashion industry, she is able to bring jewelry designers to the masses. The designers she brings in are ones that you wouldn’t have even known existed.
We carry designers from around the world. This includes cities like New York, Los Angeles, Austin, Portland, and Richmond, as well as countries like Australia and Canada.
Every season ARO comes out with a new look book, also known as a digital catalogue. The look books features new collections and designers, as well as pieces styled separately so designers can share the images with their social media followers. Not only do the images get shared with the followers of the designers, but the jewelry looks are also styled with local apparel designers. This pairing helps to maximize ARO’s social media and web presence. This in turn generates a ton of traffic to our website. In short, our images are being shared across the web by the jewelry designers, apparel designers, photographers and ARO. To gain even more exposure for ARO, we’ve also been known to share our look books with fashion and lifestyle bloggers and magazines.
With the new holiday deliveries, we are planning two look book releases during the months of November and December that we know will generate sales and revenue to pay investors back.
