Furniture Brothers, LLC
I am originally from the Dominican Republic, I came to the United States a little over a year ago with my wife when she decided to move back to the US. I wanted to find a better future that will allow me to provide for my family. Our goals since my arrival was to open our own carpentry wood shop, as that is what I use to do with my brother back in our homeland. I saw that there is a need of good carpentry shops in our region as I started doing research. This motivate me more because I know we can deliver a great service through this craft. Our dreams are to be fully operational so that we can continue to grow the business, so that we may give back to our community through job creation.

More about this loan
We are a custom wood furniture and restoration shop. I decided to start the business when I was laid off from my job in a very disrespectful manner. They told me “go home, will call you next week” and still yet they have not called me back. The reason behind starting the business is to become an entrepreneur, I’ve always been pulled to have my own shop one day. It is important to me because, is an opportunity to provide for my family things I did not have goring up and I am not talking on material things, but more on educational, travel and experience opportunities. Our biggest challenge has been raising working capital. We started the business with $5,000 but we are in need of capital to purchase machinery that we need in order to fulfill our clients orders. Our clients range from homeowners looking to renovate their homes, to small, medium and large businesses looking to restored or built custom office furniture. Our goals is to hire more people, acquire more clients and move to a more suitable space of work. I am proud that is a family owned business.
