LIKEMINES is a start-up gold mining company registered in Accra, Ghana, West Africa. Its primary focus of operations is mining, sales and distribution of precious and semi-precious minerals (specifically gold).
LIKEMINES, has acquired 100% ownership rights to two highly mineralized gold concessions in Ghana, West Africa.
Concession #1 is 78.88km2 and is situated in the Kumasi basin, approximately 15km direct northwest of the Ayanfuri Mine, where some significant mineralized quartz stockwork systems, hosted in intermediate granitoid bodies and in the surrounding Birimian metasediments have been discovered by earlier exploration work in 2008-2010.
Concession #2, is 100.65km2 and is situated in the Kumasi basin, close to the eastern margin of the Manso Nkwanta-Asankragwa volcanic belt. It is located approximately 25km WNW of the famous Obuasi Gold Mine.
Both concessions are located in Southern Ghana within the Ashanti Gold Belt, one of the most highly gold endowed and tightly held geological provinces in the world. Ghana, particularly in the south, has been considered one of the world’s most prolific regions for gold discoveries for some time, with both gold producers and explorers enjoying tremendous success there.
Almost all of the current and past gold producing mines are concentrated in the Ashanti Gold Belt because of its enormous gold potential. Numerous multi-million deposits still exist there. For example in earlier exploration work done at our Concession #1, holes where drilled in 8 different fences. Five of the 5 fences comprised of holes 1 to hole 34. Eight holes had anomalous intercepts. Of these 5 holes formed an anomalous trend over 750 meters in three fences of holes. In this trend, hole 18 had an intercept of 2.54 gm/ton Au from 0 meters to 39 meters. This intercept also contained a 3 meter segment of 22.2 gm /ton Au and a 9 meter segment of 2.465gm/ton Au. At 400 meters away at 040 degrees hole 25 contained an intercept of 7.8 gm/ton Au over 3 meters and 40 meters northwest in the same fence hole 26 contained an intercept of 3.86 gm/ton Au over 3 meters. At 750 meters from hole 18 at 040 degrees, hole 32 contained an intercept of 2.24 gm/t over 3 meters.
